Report: Bruce is a fan of 23 y/o winger…and Newcastle can sign him for £10m

Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Ademola Lookman, according to reports from The Chronicle. Lookman spent the last season on loan to Fulham from German club RB Leipzig. The 23-year-old winger scored four goals in 35 games for the club in all competitions, but couldn’t prevent the Cottagers from getting relegated. The former Everton winger, who was once seen as one of the brightest young talents in the country, failed to meet his high standards after switching to Germany permanently in 2019. The Bundesliga club are keen to get rid of him, and he has been offered to a host of Premier League clubs including Newcastle and Southampton. Sportslens View  Lookman is rated at £10million. The report claims that Steve Bruce is a fan of the player but the Magpie...

He has spent most of the last few seasons out on loan, having spells at Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County, Bournemouth and Cardiff City. His performances at these clubs have earned him 29 caps for the Wales national team, scoring on five occasions. During his time on loan, he began to make a name for himself, becoming renowned for his excellent left foot and threat from set-pieces. The winger was believed to possess imme...

Fulham target agrees personal terms with Belgian giants, could join them soon – report

Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo has agreed personal terms with Genk ahead of a potential transfer, reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims. Ugbo has not made a competitive appearance for the Blues in his career, and he has spent time away on loan with five different clubs. The 22-year-old had a promising stint with Cercle Brugge in the Belgian top-flight last term, registering 17 goals across all competitions. He helped them avoid relegation, but decided against the opportunity to join them permanently in the pursuit of a bigger challenge. Fulham have been regularly linked with Ugbo in recent months with reports suggesting that he could be available for €3-5 million. However, the striker appears determined to return to Belgium with Genk, and has already agreed personal terms with t...

Report: Wolves willing to pay £10m to sign ace who was relegated from the PL last season

Wolverhampton Wanderers are lining up a move to sign Fulham defender Antonee Robinson, according to a report from The Sun (print edition, July 11, page 61). Bruno Lage desperately needs to bolster his defensive ranks at Molineux this summer. The Black Country outfit conceded 52 goals in 38 Premier League games under Lage’s predecessor Nuno Espirito Santo – the ninth-worst record in the division. The Portuguese coach will be desperate to get Wolves challenging for the top six or seven in the Premier League again next season. Wolves target Antonee Robinson in action for Fulham last season And he seems to be making moves to help his team do just that. Manchester United, Chelsea jostle for £25 million Euro 2020 star

Manchester United and Chelsea have expressed interest in signing Denmark defender Joachim Andersen following his impressive performances at Euro 2020. Lyon centre-back Andersen, 25, featured in all three of Denmark’s knockout matches at the Euros, as Kasper Hjulmand’s side beat Wales and the Czech Republic before suffering a semi-final defeat to England. Having spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Fulham – and impressing for Scott Parker’s side despite the Cottagers’ relegation – Andersen is known to Premier League clubs. Despite returning to Lyon this summer, Andersen is expected to sign a permanent deal at an English club before next season, with a number of sides interested in securing his signature. The Sun say both Manchester United and Chelsea have identified the £25m star as a cheape...

Wolverhampton Wanderers weighing up approach for 23-year-old USA international – report

Wolverhampton Wanderers are weighing up an approach to sign Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson this summer, Football Insider reports. The Midlands outfit recently secured the permanent signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri from Angers after paying a fee of around £10 million. The club had the option to buy him for £18m, but managed to negotiate a lesser fee by accepting to include a 50 per cent sell-on clause. It is now reported that Wolves are searching for another left-back, and have their sights on landing Robinson from the Cottagers. He was purchased for just £2m from Wigan Athletic last summer. He is now valued at around £10m. Wolves are planning to test the Cottagers’ resolve with an opening bid. Sportslens view: Wolves heavily relied on Ait-Nouri for the left-back ...

Championship club keen on appointing highly-rated Fulham manager

Bournemouth are interested in recruiting Fulham’s Scott Parker as their next manager, according to The Guardian. The 40-year-old was most recently relegated from the Premier League with Fulham. However, his stint at Craven Cottage has been impressive in context, and it is hard to fault him for the club’s relegation from the top-flight. Keeping the Cottagers in the Premier League was always going to be a challenge considering the club’s lack of resources and players who are proven performers in the upper ranks of English football. After being appointed as permanent first-team boss of Fulham in 2019, Parker impressively guided the club back to the Premier League after they were relegated the previous season. Due to the structural changes that unfold at clubs after relegation, it is always im...

Turkish side Trabzonspor in love with Ademola Lookman

Trabzonspor are interested in adding Nigerian wing wizard, Ademola Lookman, to their playing personnel and have registered their interest with the player’s parent club RB Leipzig, says Turkish publications Fotomac. Lookman is not short of suitors after impressing last term during a loan spell in the Premier League with Fulham. The former Everton ace scored four goals and added another four assists in 34 matches for the Cottagers. It was not enough, though, to help the London-based side avoid relegation to the Championship just a year after celebrating a long-overdue promotion. Fulham paid €2 million to Leipzig last summer before they could get the Super Eagles hopeful, and Trabzonspor may need to cough up an equivalent sum to acquire the services of the 23-year-old. A couple of years ago, ...

Saint-Maximin reminds Fulham of their relegation dig at NUFC in four-word tweet

Newcastle United will be playing in the Premier League again next season after finishing the 2020-21 campaign in 12th place. Newcastle United travel to Fulham for their final Premier League game of the season, and the Magpies will be hoping to finish the season with a win. It has been a mediocre campaign for Steve Bruce, and the fans will be expecting a quality performance today. Fulham have already been relegated and have nothing to play for, but Scott Parker will want his team to finish the season on a high note. The Londoners have lost eight of their last 10 home games in the Premier League, and Newcastle will certainly fancy their chances of winning here. The Magpies were held to a 1-1 draw against Fulham earlier in the season, and they will look to make amends this time. Newcastle have quite a few injury issues, with Isaac Hayden, Jamaal Lascelles, Karl Darlow, Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson all sidelin...

West Bromwich Albion and Fulham are reportedly keen to sign Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi in the summer transfer window.  According to Goal.com, seven clubs have approached the Reds over the Nigerian striker’s availability. After years of plying trade elsewhere, he and his family were finally granted UK work permits, following a lengthy application process.
