Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been rewarded for his upturn in form with a recall to the France squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. The 24-year-old hasn’t featured for Les Bleus since the summer of 2019 but now has the chance to add to his six international caps in matches against Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Cristiano Ronaldo to make Portugal return against France, Croatia
Cristiano Ronaldo was on Thursday named in the Portugal squad to play a friendly against Andorra and Nations League matches against France and Croatia. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner tested positive for coronavirus on October 13 when with the Portugal squad, going on to miss the 3-0 victory over Sweden. The 35-year-old finally tested negative 19 days later, returning to the pitch with a double for Juventus against Spezia in Serie A action on Sunday. Eberechi Eze makes PFA Championship Team of the Year
Crystal Palace new signing Eberechi Eze has been included in the PFA Championship Team of the Year. The PFA made the announcement which was published on their verified Twitter handle on Tuesday. Eze’s inclusion is due to his impressive performance for former club Queens Park Rangers last season. The 22-year-old scored 13 goals and provided eight assists in 45 Championship appearances for QPR. He was voted QPRs Players’ Player of the Year, the Supporters’ Player of the Year and the club Player of the Year.
