Monstercat Joins the Battle in Fortnite with Radio Yonder

Fortnite has introduced an in-game vehicle radio featuring 20 Monstercat tracks. When it comes to bridging the gap between gaming and EDM, perhaps no one does things quite like the Monstercat imprint. The label has already been the exclusive soundtrack of the popular game Rocket League, and they now have ventured into the wild world of Fortnite.  The leading battle royale video game has introduced an in-vehicle radio station called “Radio Yonder”, featuring 20 Monstercat selections so players can enjoy their favorites while riding off to battle. With numerous collaborations under his belt, Diplo is no stranger to the inescapable pop culture phenomenon that is Fortnite. Sony Purchases $250 Million Stake In Fortnite Developer Epic Games

Sony‘s latest strategic investment is sure to augment the already flourishing link between the music and gaming industries. The parent company of Sony Music has moved to acquire a $250 million minority stake in Epic Games, makers of the hit video game franchises Fortnite and Borderlands. The investment will enable the continued pursuit of crossover partnerships that have already begun to shakeup a rapidly shifting digital entertainment landscape. Last month, Fortnite debuted the latest trailer for Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi thriller Tenet. Now, in a continuation of their partnership, the video game platform has just hosted its very own movie night dedicated to the famed director. The epic, unprecedented streaming party took place on Friday, June 26th and highlighted three of Nolan’s most popular films. Despite being completely free-to-play, the video game behemoth Fortnite Battle Royale has passed $1 billion in microtransaction sales from the mobile version of the game.
