Musician apologises to Kogi commissioner, others over allegation of wife snatching

A Kogi-based musician, Tanimu Yunusa, has apologised to the State Commissioner for Work, Engr Abubakar Ohere, over allegation of attempting to induce and snatch his wife. Tanimu, who is also known as 2rich, a local Ebira musician from Obehira in Okene local government area of Kogi state in a music video recorded in Ebira Language and released on Thursday admitted that he made error for lying the allegation against the commissioner. “My father Ohere, I’m sorry” Tanimu said severally in the video, while displaying several photos of him and the commissioner in a bid to tell the viewers that they have come a long way. Azman Air apologises to NCAA chief over false accusations

After series of accusations and counter-accusations generated by the suspension of Azman from flight operations by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, (NCAA) over violation of safety rules, the management of the airline has finally apologised to the regulatory agency for the rash actions it took over the suspension. The suspension of Azman by the NCAA was negatively reacted to by the airline with the management issuing a scandalous statement which accused the director-general of the NCAA, Captain Nuhu Musa, of suspending the airline to punish it for a previous disagreement between him and the airline. NSA, Northwest governors to meet in Kaduna over rising insecurity

The National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (Retd) and all the seven governors from the North-West region of the country have scheduled a town-hall meeting for Monday in order to address growing insecurity in the region. It was gathered that the meeting, which will hold in Kaduna, was convened on the heels of recent disagreements among some of the governors which border on whether to give amnesty to bandits or not. Cleric cautions Nigerians on dangers of unforgiveness

A Catholic cleric, Rev. Fr. Kingsley Ferdinand, has advised Nigerians to cultivate the spirit of forgiveness as it is the only way to make heaven. Ferdinand, the Associate Priest at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Nyanya, Abuja, gave the advice during the Holy Mass on Sunday. CAN reacts to death sentence on Kano singer

File Photo The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Kano State has reacted to the death sentence passed on a musician, Yahaya Aminu Sharif. An Upper Sharia court had sentenced Sharif to death for alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad. The court sitting in Kano had sentenced Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, to death by handing for comments against Prophet Mohammad. The trial Judge, Khadi Muhammad Ali-Kani had ruled that the 23-year-old singer’s audio remark against Prophet Mohammad was against Islamic law.
