Flume has teamed up with the Soundwaves Art Foundation to reimagine his biggest hit for a good cause. In January 2016, Flume and Kai released their timeless single “Never Be like You.” Now, almost seven years later, the track has been remixed into a piece of art with a helping hand from the philanthropic foundation, who translated its soundwaves into a unique print. The Soundwaves Art Foundation creates these pieces in partnership with musicians, who then select a charitable organization to receive 100% of the profits from sales of the art. For Flume’s collection, he chose Childen in Conflict, a nonprofit supporting children around the world who are affected by war. Flume signing art for his Soundwaves Art Foundation-powered collection. We Came Up With Bizarre Descriptions of DJs—Then Used Artificial Intelligence to Bring Them to Life

There’s nothing that blurs the line between frightening and fascinating quite like artificial intelligence. And since artificial intelligence and electronic music are becoming more symbiotic by the day, the staff here at EDM.com wanted to see just how far it could go in a visual sense. So we came up with bizarre descriptions of artists and fed them through A.I. art generators. Some images are photorealistic. Others are fancifully distorted. And the majority of them are flat-out creepy. But we digress. Read on to see our weird and wonderful creations. Flume and Chrome Sparks Produced Sycco’s Latest Cosmic Bop, “Ripple”: Listen

Australian singer-songwriter and producer Sycco has collaborated with Flume and Chrome Sparks. The resulting single, “Ripple,” is about to have you hooked.  Maximalist at its heart, “Ripple” is a whimsical electronica concoction swirling with elements of hyperpop and drum and bass. Some of its synths sound straight out of a magic wand.  Pillowy chords and pitches make you want to close your eyes and float away, but when the striking sounds of its percussion break through, you find yourself on solid ground. Shining through this sonic interplay of hard and soft, Sycco’s cosmic vocals take front and center—a memorable element that caught Flume’s attention when he was in the studio creating the beat. “I was doing a session in LA wit...

Flume, appropriately wearing a Motocross suit, revved the crowd up with a high-octane, race-themed intro before diving deep into the recipe bag. He immediately set the tone for a fun-fille...

Flume Leaks Coveted “Greenpeace” ID After 5 Years

To the surprise of many longtime fans, Flume has exhumed a record thought to have been lost forever deep within his archives of unreleased music. The fervor for the track now known as “Flume X Greenpeace” started from humble roots. Produced as part of Flume’s 2017 collaborative campaign alongside Greenpeace Australia Pacific, the original song was teased only for 90 seconds, but would remain imprinted on the minds of fans for years to come.  A breezy, lounge-style house record with hypnotic bass and playful vocals, the laid-back track was assumed to have been tabled forever especially after Flume’s subsequent projects, Hi This Is Flume and Palaces, were released with no trace of it. Flume also implied that the unreleased cuts are leftovers from when he was developing the creative vision for Palaces. “I mean I’ve got a full album’s worth of house music that’s just sitting there that I just need to finish off,” Flume said. “I’ve got loads of demos, some of them have got strong parts for sure.
