Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods Receives Netflix Premiere Date
There’s a new Spike Lee joint heading to your home. Today, the legendary filmmaker announced that Da 5 Bloods, his highly anticipated follow-up to 2018’s BlacKkKlansman, will premiere on Netflix on Friday, June 12th. Starring Chadwick Boseman, Delroy Lindo, Jonathan Majors, Paul Walter, and Jean Reno, the film follows four veterans who return to Vietnam searching for the remains of their fallen squad leader — and some treasure. Disney Releases Baby Yoda Vinyl With The Mandalorian Theme
The first season of The Mandalorian offered a new hope for the Star Wars franchise thanks to a reimagined narrative by Jon Favreau. Regardless of how good the script was, there’s no denying part of the show’s success came from The Child, the infant character otherwise known as Baby Yoda, who became a beloved meme instantly. Now, for May the 4th, Disney has announced a Baby Yoda-shaped vinyl that’s as adorable as The Child himself. The record is aptly titled “The Child Die-Cut Vinyl”. With every major Hollywood production shutdown, the Academy Award-winning cinematography (The Shawshank Redemption, Fargo, Blade Runner 2049), has launched a podcast with his wife James that they’ve aptly dubbed, Team Deakins. The Sundance Film Festival may have been a contributing factor to the spread of COVID-19, at least according to a new report by The Hollywood Reporter. The publication profiled several attendees — from festival regulars to one anonymous high-profile actor — all of whom reported similar symptoms linked to the coronavirus. How many passwords do you have across all your streaming accounts? Now, how many of them do you share with family, friends, and loved ones? Probably a lot. Probably most of you. Especially if we’re to believe a new report by by Cordcutting.com, which states that 44 million U.S. adults are using shared passwords for streaming services. That’s a whole lot of Netflix and chilling for free, and not surprisingly, it’s gone up in 2020 for a couple of networks. For both Netflix and Amazon Prime, the amount of freeloaders have increased by 14.4% and 13.9%, respectively.
