Organizers of Las Vegas’ When We Were Young canceled the music festival’s opening day on Saturday (Oct. 22) due to concerns over high winds. “When We Were Young Festival organizers have spend the last several days proactively preparing the festival grounds for a windy Saturday,” organizers wrote on the fest’s website and social media pages Saturday. “The National Weather Service has not upgraded their Saturday forecast to a High Wind Warning, including dangerous 30-40 mph sustained winds with potential 60 mph gusts. Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles is skipping 2022, his manager Chris Clancy tells Billboard, and is planning to bring the festival back next year. “It’s really not that deep,” says Clancy of the Goldenvoice-produced event. “Tyler toured all year and was busy with a number of projects. San Francisco’s Portola Festival at the city’s Pier 80 experienced a crowd issue Saturday (Sept. 24) when a large group of people rushed an early evening set by English producer Fred Again.
