Leeds United are close to signing FC Utrecht winger Gyrano Kerk in the coming days, the Mirror reports. According to the report (printed edition, page 74), the Whites are close to agreeing a deal for Kenk, and the deal could be completed before the end of the week. In fact, the Yorkshire club are hoping to unveil the striker this week, with Leeds close to agreeing a £10m deal for the player. The 24-year-old, who managed 11 goals and 12 assists last season, was also Serie A duo Verona and Cagliari. However, both the clubs weren’t willing to pay more than £9m, whereas Leeds are offering a better deal for Kerk. Kerk is under contract at the Dutch club till 2023. UEFA releases possible dates for Champions League games
UEFA’s plan to complete the Champions League and Europa League continues. The plan says that they will be played throughout the month of August once the leagues are done in July. UEFA have an idea which is to end the season by the end of August. Therefore, the domestic leagues need to be completed by the end of July. The proposal is for the remaining last 16 games to be played in the first week of the month. On 26th and 29th August, Gdansk and Istanbul will host the Europa League and Champions League finals respectively. ‘Marca’ says that they will try and stick to that instead of playing both the finals at the same venue.
