After three months of lockdown, it’s safe to assume trainer collections everywhere may be in desperate need of a refresh. Our trusty Adidas Superstars have most definitely seen us through our one prescribed walk a day, but as the time comes for life to begin again, so does the time for new kicks. If, like us, your once-shiny and white Air Force Ones have officially turned grey, we’re afraid it’s a sign that changes need to be made. That said, buying new trainers can be overwhelming (especially when new collaborations drop on the daily) and expensive, so we’re here to help you find the perfect new pair. Whether it’s a clean and classic Club C from Reebok, a platform high-top from Converse, or a chunky dad trainer from New Balance, we’ve got exactly what y...
We all love musing over designer brands, but midluxury fashion is our true weakness. With the advent of social media, discovering unique independent clothing brands is easier than it’s ever been. Almost weekly, we discover an online shop selling a statement dress that captures exactly how we feel. So just in case you are wondering which brands are in style in 2021, we made a list of some of our favourites. Much of the beautiful clothes on our social feeds are designed by independent shops located here in the UK, with a few from the US, France, Spain, Sweden, and Denmark. Each of these small brands offer a unique take on the zeitgeist of the moment — including puff-sleeve dresses, oversize collars, patchwork pieces, sheer fits, and period drama-inspired silhouettes to fill every fashi...

H&M is collaborating with classic American denim brand Lee on a sustainable, size-inclusive collection that’s fit for the entire family. Lee X H&M is the Swedish brand’s first denim range made from 100-percent recycled cotton jeans, and the water, CO2, and energy details of the collection will be available on the brand website. “We just loved working with Lee to push for change,” said H&M designer Jon Loman in a press statement. “A change for more sustainable and circular denim garments. We looked at every detail and challenged each other in a positive way. It’s also amazing to work with Lee’s iconic designs and give them a bit of our flavour, for H&M denim lovers around the world.” Lee X H&M includes oversize, straight, a...
BBC’s new true-crime series The Serpent takes us on a journey of glamour, seduction, and murder. It follows the story of ’70s French serial killer Charles Sobhraj (played by Tahar Rahim) who goes by the name “Alain” and his menacing partner-in-crime girlfriend Marie-Andrée Leclerc (played by Jenna Coleman) who goes by “Monique.” While the pair prey on Western tourists traveling in Southeast Asia, Monique uses her charm and fashion sense to lure in unsuspecting victims — and although we absolutely condemn her predatory behaviour, we know exactly how to copy her sultry French-bohemian style. In the 1970s, the ideal fashion look included flared, high-waisted blue jeans or trousers secured with a wide belt. Oversize sunglasses were also very popular, as well...
A jumper dress might just be your new favourite autumn-winter outfit for staying snug indoors, and making a quick trip outside when necessary. I’m a huge fan of knitted dresses, and I’ve been singing their praises for years — so I’m more than pleased that this trend is finally catching on, and the selection available online is divine. But before you search the web looking for the perfect jumper dress, I’ve found a few pieces that you need to see first. Personally, I’m a huge fan of wearing a knit midi dress with mid-heel, calf-high boots. I love that this outfit combination makes me feel put together with minimal effort and it transitions between events so well. In the years BC (before coronavirus), I would wear fitted jumper dresses to work on days that I had...

Somewhat inadvertently, I became a minimalist. Not solely with the style of clothing and accessories that I gravitate toward — though I do revel in clean lines, classic silhouettes, and neutral colours — but also with my space and the amount of “stuff” in it. For the last three years, I’ve primarily worked from home (which is a one-bedroom apartment that I share with my fiancé in Manhattan), wherein certain clothing types no longer made sense. While I’ve always maintained a clean and relatively clutter-free space, I routinely became distracted by the little messes that would pile up around my workspace, from papers to clothing. My focus derailed and shifted into a full-on deep clean of my apartment on more occasions than I’d like to admit. To wit, on days when...
