51 New Summer Zara Items Destined to Sell Out

Confession: When assigned this story, I hadn’t been on Zara.com in a couple of months. What can I say? I’d been enjoying some alternative affordable brands instead. But now, I can confidently say Zara and I are thoroughly reacquainted, and the product offering is looking prime for summer. I looked through every single item on the site and have to admit I now have quite a few pieces in my personal cart. Because if I know anything about Zara, it’s that those cult-favorite items go fast. From years of coverage of the brand on Who What Wear, our editors have cultivated a sharpened sense of what has the potential to sell out quickly. I pulled these products into one epic roundup of summer wardrobe goodness, so we can get our shopping kic...

9 Grandma Trends That Are Basically Mainstream at This Point

The life span of a trend goes like this: At first, insiders begin to wear what we call a “micro-trend” until, at a certain point when there are enough versions to be found at a range of price points, it’s officially a trend with a capital T. At that point, it either expires after the current season or proves to have staying power and therefore becomes mainstream. For as negative a connotation as it usually has, mainstream actually isn’t such a bad thing. Really, it means that a trend that was once niche has proven to be worthy of a long-lasting place in your closet, and, at least to me, that’s a beautiful thing. Recently, I got to thinking about the whole idea of grandma dressing. When we reported on the budding trend back in February 2019, it was definitely a...

I Think This Is Set to Be the Cult Dress of the Summer

In the age of lockdowns, social restrictions and event cancellations, it would be easy to assume that the concept of a trending dress might be forgone for the summer of 2020. After all, with weddings postponed, celebrations largely on hold and public spaces still closed, where would one wear such an item? Well, to their living room, apparently.  Yes, although this summer is set to look a little different, that hasn’t stopped supermodels and influencers from dressing their best. In fact, models such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Romee Strijd and influencer Camille Charrière have continued to dress up and interestingly enough have gravitated toward the same floor-length maxi as their gown of choice.  Designed by It label Cult Gaia, the Serita ...

Every Dress I Love This Year Has This One Little Detail

Summer is on its way and with it comes an influx of new seasonal trends. From tie-dye to linen, and Bermuda shorts, there are a few standout looks that certainly seems to have taken over our Instagram feeds in recent months.  Though not all trends are immediately obvious, as sometimes it can be the smaller details that make a look even more impactful. Enter my favourite summer dress mirco-trend: cut-out silhouettes. Whether it be an open back detail, front key-hole or waist-enhancing side splits, cut-out silhouettes seem to be everywhere at the minute. From influencer imagery to e-comm campaigns, this interesting detail has been highlighted across high-street and designer items, proving its popularity once and for all. Whether it be Cult Gaia’s Serita dress, already worn by...

I Just Styled Gucci’s Best-Selling Cult Belt 3 Ways

If there’s one brand that has been inescapable over the past few years it’s been Gucci. Since 2015, under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele, the brand has become one of the hottest fashion houses around. Thanks to Alessandro’s exciting and fresh vision countless other designers and high street brands have followed the edgy-grandma-meets-the-seventies trend. But the real crux of the fashion house’s success lies in its accessibility. While some opt to wear the brand sunglasses-to-platforms, others can easily dip their toe in with a bag or a pair of shoes. But one of the easiest ways to get the Gucci look? Wear one of the now-iconic double G belts. It has a cool but goes-with-everything-in-your-wardrobe appeal that makes it a must fo...

The High-Street Buys the Fashion Crowd Is Loving Right Now

The team at Who What Wear UK prides itself on uncovering cult items before they’ve even made it off the production line. We’re keen, to say the least, and a great portion of our time is spent documenting and analysing the Instagram posts of the thousands of cool women we follow on Instagram for high-street sightings. In fact, we have WhatsApp groups and Slack channels dedicated to these affordably priced power pieces, and we want to update you on them as soon as possible (aka after we’ve bought our faves). Our skills are so attuned that more often than not, we’ll have an inkling about a certain piece before it has hit the big time. Sometimes, you’ll find a flurry of brand-specific action due to a paid activation or natural desire to wear a parti...

London Fashion Week Goes Digital and Gender-Neutral in a Positive Move For British Fashion

For the first time ever, the British Fashion Council will officially merge London Fashion Week‘s womenswear and menswear shows into a single, gender-neutral showcase. In response to the coronavirus pandemic, LFW will also launch a digital-only platform open to both industry insiders and fashion enthusiasts until June 2021. Who would have thought that COVID-19 would be the catalyst that LFW needed to embrace more sustainable practices. Merging womenswear and menswear schedules means fewer but better quality shows, which translates to much less waste produced during Fashion Weeks. The move to digital will also boost morale for British fashion by making viewing access to new collections more inclusive, leading to more engagement from everyday shoppers. LFW’s gender-neutral show sc...

So what are the trends that Topshop is backing this season? From floral dresses and roomy smocks to long-sleeve numbers and sassy silhouettes, there’s something for everyone. These 30 Linen Summer Dresses Will Actually Keep You Cool in a Heatwave

Looking put together in a heatwave is one of the trickiest styling obstacles, however the one thing that is always cool (in the literal and aesthetic sense) is a linen dress—and I’ve found 30 that I’m sure tick off every summer dress box. A word on how to style, though: My personal preference is to take tips from the likes of super-polished Eni, who always hits the right note with her styling. Don’t opt for anything overly fussy in terms of accessories and opt for barely-there sandals (if they match the colour of your dress then even better). While there are the more expensive options, I’ve also included some of my favourites from the high street. You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. It begin...

3 Lesser-Known Loungewear Brands We’re Loving Right Now

For obvious reasons, loungewear is what everyone is wearing right now. (I personally haven’t put on a pair of jeans for about eight weeks.) Luckily, there is a lot of inspiration around for loungewear that is both stylish and comfortable, proving that casual clothes don’t have to be shapeless or unflattering.  With this in mind, we thought we would highlight a few lesser-known loungewear brands that we and the rest of the fashion set are loving right now. The Line by K is an L.A.-based label favoured by Alyssa Coscarelli and Sasha Mei; Ninety Percent is the sustainable brand that vows to share 90% of its profits with charitable causes and those who make its collection; and Micha Lounge is the affordable brand creating the co-ords you’ll want ...
