Imagine Music Festival Abandons 2020 Event, Announces Dates for 2021 Edition

Beloved Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia music fest Imagine Music Festival is the latest major festival brand to kick the bucket due to the impact of COVID-19. Back in April 2020, representatives announced their plans to host the 2020 iteration of Imagine at Bouckaert Farms, the former site of TommorowWorld, from September 18th to 20th. “While we wanted to be sensitive to the stresses that everyone is facing with COVID-19, we also wanted Imagine to be a positive light through the barrage negative news,” said founders Glenn and Madeleine Goodhand at the time. Madrid music fest Mad Cool Festival has unveiled a tremendous lineup for its 2021 edition. The lineup’s announcement arrived on the same day that the 2020 edition would have taken place, July 8th, after its cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. UK Festival Will Feature Beer Delivery and “Socially-Distanced Raving” This Weekend

As most of the world’s live music events continue to be cancelled due to COVID-19, the UK is joining the likes of Amsterdam by hosting its first socially distanced music festival called the Gisburne Park Pop-Up. The event will last eight weeks, from July 11th to August 30th, 2020, and will be hosted on the breathtaking Gisburne Park Estate in Lancashire. Social Distancing Ignored in 5,000-Person Electronic Concert in Nice, France Over the Weekend

Ignoring many of the social distancing guidelines shared by the world’s medical community, a large group of people in France gathered for an outdoor concert over the weekend. While some underground events have been broken up for hosting around 100 people, the concert in the city of Nice attracted over 5,000 people, who gathered to see a performance from hometown artist The Avener. French news station France 3 Provence-Alpes obtained footage of the party, which displayed a packed crowd with few people wearing masks or practicing social distancing. The Chainsmokers Announce They’re Recording a New Album Ahead of Forthcoming Drive-In Concert

After a brief musical hiatus, The Chainsmokers are returning to the live music circuit. The New York City-born duo recently announced a drive-in concert on Long Island called “Safe & Sound Hamptons,” which is being produced by In The Know Experiences and will go down at Nova’s Ark Project on July 25th. Organizers are prepared to admit a total of 600 cars for the show, which is being touted as a “live music tailgate experience.” Moreover, personal protective equipment will be provided to all guests, including masks, which need to be worn when leaving their area to go to the restrooms. After a rocky start on the first day of the event, the organizers of Rave Family Block Fest announced the indefinite postponement of the in-game Minecraft festival. A number of artists and fans expressed concerns over how the festival was functioning on its first day.
