Navigate a Virtual Sound Museum as a Teddy Bear with New Sound Campus Exhibit

Enrique Tomás sought to combine sound, art, and the feeling of visiting a museum with the advent of his concept project Sound Campus, which sees its virtual debut this week. Over 120 artists answered the call with submissions ranging from live sound installations to live performances. A third of those works were ultimately selected to become part of the exhibit, which was built in partnership with the University of Arts and Industrial Design Linz. Set in a dynamic virtual world, Sound Campus creates a shared experience among attendees who navigate the Titanic-shaped gallery as teddy bears. In the midst of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it’s no longer a surprise when a music festival decides to host an online event. While many have opted for run-of-the-mill livestreams hosted on platforms like YouTube and Twitch, some organizers have devised clever ways to spice up the experience. Always one for both technological and artistic advancements, The Burning Man Project introduced a virtual Burn to give fans a way to connect and experience the event from the safety of their homes. Excision Announces Return of Couch Lands and “Very Special Set”

Bass-heads can breathe a collective sigh of relief after Excision announced the return of his Couch Lands livestream series.  The dubstep phenom took to Twitter to share the news of the third Couch Lands episode, dubbing it, “the moment you’ve been waiting for.” He also announced that he will be performing a “very special set,” sending his fanbase and EDM Twitter into an all-out fever pitch. “Couch Lands returns AND I have a very special set for you! ADE Announces New “COVID-Proof Seated Concerts” in Amsterdam

After the cancellation of the 2020 iteration of Amsterdam Dance Event, a virtual event was announced, following suit with many other major 2020 events throttled by the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, after working in close collaboration with the Amsterdam City Council, ADE has curated new 2020 events under the ADE Specials banner.  In an official statement, ADE confirmed that new events will be held throughout Amsterdam, which will comply with public safety guidelines put forth by the government. “The ADE team has worked hard to be able to deliver the best possible ADE experience while ensuring public health and government guidelines,” the statement says. “In doing so, we have collaborated closely with the city council and the city’s venues to host ...
