Escapade’s 2022 Festival to Feature Seven Lions, DJ Snake, Martin Garrix, More

Ottawa’s Escapade Music Festival once again bears the promise of new adventures and excitement, including the chance to win a weekend of VIP treatment. While the gap between Escapade 2019—the festival’s landmark 10th edition—and their 2021 event was a long 802 days (but who’s counting?), the wait until Escapade 2022 will be substantially shorter for fans. Having last taken place in September, Escapade is now set to return to its regularly scheduled weekend in June. And even better still, the event is expanding to a full three days of entertainment. One Month After Escapade Music Festival, Organizers Celebrate Zero COVID-19 Cases

2021 has been marred by a revolving door of gloomy virus-related headlines, but the organizers of Escapade Music Festival have just slammed it shut.  According to the Ottawa Citizen, who reported that organizers claimed zero documented COVID-19 cases arose from this year’s festival, Escapade 2021 attracted approximately 10,000 people on each of September 4th and 5th at the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Park. In a move many had deemed controversial, attendees were required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. It’s a milestone worth celebrating. It was a turbulent road to the rapturous 2021 edition of Escapade, which featured headlining performances by The Chainsmokers and ILLENIUM, among other dance music superstars. Organizers were forced to postpone the even...

Ottawa’s Escapade Music Festival Postponed to Fall 2021

Ottawa’s Escapade is the latest major music festival to cash in its chips due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Back in August 2020 organizers announced the festival’s mid-June 2021 dates and lineup, which was to feature ILLENIUM, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, The Chainsmokers, and Kaskade, among many other electronic music superstars. Citing the “unrealistic” possibility of producing a festival at this moment, organizers have now moved Escapade to September 3-5, 2021. If those dates aren’t viable, the event will be pushed to 2022, says a statement released by Escapade. “Initial reopening timelines are being announced and we van finally start to see some normality in sight for Canada,” the statement reads. “However, the team has come to the de...

Illenium, Martin Garrix, More to Headline Escapade Music Festival 2021

Despite its delay into 2021, Escapade aims to return better than ever. After scrapping plans for a late 2020 edition, Escapade Music Festival has put forth a plan to return in 2021 bigger and better than ever. The Ottowa music festival had planned to host an event in September of this year, but due to ongoing mass event restrictions in Canada, Escapade has been pushed back to June of 2021. Despite the delay, there is still much to celebrate for Escapade fans.
