Eric Prydz recently descended on the City of Angels to throw down a special DJ set in collaboration with Factory 93, known for their iconic warehouse parties. And thanks to a gallant attendee who was able to capture the full show, fans who missed out can now watch the performance in 4K resolution on YouTube. True to form, Prydz seamlessly oscillated between his aliases, mixing music by Pryda, Cirez D, and Tonja Holma with the gusto of a seasoned vet. He also played out a ton of IDs. He kicked off the concert with a track tentatively titled “WOWOW,” a prized cut that has appeared in his live sets since as early as 2010, before playing out a number of other unreleased songs that fans have long clamored for. These include “Belgrade Expo ID2” an...
“Opus” is a prized song in the career of one of the most prolific artists in electronic music history. But to some, like future NFL Hall of Famer J.J. Watt, it’s just another “where’s the drop?” moment. After hearing Eric Prydz‘s progressive house hit in the Arizona Cardinals’ locker room prior to training camp practice yesterday, the superstar defensive end found himself asking that very question. His teammate, Dennis Gardeck, was in charge of the music and decided to pump some EDM through the speakers to “get the juice back” after returning from a stint on the team’s Physically Unable To Perform list. Watt, of course, isn’t familiar with the classic prolonged builds of Prydz’s music, which lend to a u...

Though Eric Prydz‘s Tonja Holma alias has been quiet since 2017, the Swedish dance music legend hasn’t completely abandoned it. Today he’s returned with a treat for longtime fans, as he’s revived the nom de plume for a brand new single released on his Pryda Presents imprint. “All Night” delivers on its hype. The slow burn of the tune feels incredibly natural, allowing listeners to be consumed by soaring synths, a captivating vocal sample, and a pounding bassline while waiting for its climax. This release aligns well with Tonja Holma’s previous EP Tonja, as both maintain an upbeat, progressive sound. Tonja Holma isn’t the only secondary mask Eric Prydz dons from time to time. He’s similarly departed from his usual sound to rel...
