Rising UK Singer Karl Benjamin Announces Debut EP DRIST, Shares “Friends”: Stream

Karl Benjamin has been buzzing in the UK for his smooth vocals and rich blend of R&B and soul. Today, the singer announced his debut EP, DRIST, out on March 26th via Atlantic Records. DRIST stands for Deep Rooted Insecurities and Shy Tendencies. Benjamin further elaborated on the title’s meaning in a press statement: Being trapped in the house with my own thoughts for so long has really shown me how much this word means to me. I’m an antisocial extrovert that’s had the time to analyze their own DRIST, and in doing so, I’m slowly understanding myself and my cerebellum more each day. I wrote this EP with my DRIST in mind. Orville Peck will celebrate the summer season with a new EP dubbed Show Pony. His first collection of music since last year’s Pony debut is officially due out June 12th. According to social media posts, the forthcoming EP features his “Summertime” single from April, as well as “No Glory in the West”, a newly revealed track that’s streaming below. Earlier this year, Gang of Four co-founder and guitarist Andy Gill passed away at the age of 64. Now, the band’s remaining members are prepping to release a new EP called Anti Hero, featuring a song co-written by Gill prior to his death.
