Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis opened with a measly $4 million USD at the box office, debuting at No. 6 behind the Indian Telugu-language action film Devara: Part 1.The Adam Driver-led film was unable to meet its initial opening weekend expectations of $5 million USD to $7 million USD, and instead fell short against its $120 million USD budget as it earned from 1,854 theaters in North America. Variety points out that the film, which was financed by Coppola himself, received mixed reviews and has been plagued with poor marketing tactics and AI-generated quotes from film critics. “The movie is an ambitious, personal vision. DC Studios Is Currently Developing a Film With Batman Villains Bane and Deathstroke

DC Studios is cooking up a new film, and this time, it places villains at the forefront. Variety has confirmed that DC has tapped screenwriter Matthew Orton, known for writing the script for Captain America: Brave New World, to work on the upcoming feature film that centers around Batman villains Bane and Deathstroke. While the script is currently in the works, no director nor actors are attached to the project just yet. Dame Maggie Smith, the actress who portrayed Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter franchise, died on Friday at the age of 89.Smith’s sons Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens announced their mother’s death through a publicist, saying she died peacefully in a London hospital.“It is with great sadness we have to announce the death of Dame Maggie Smith. Disney+ Officially Launches Password Sharing Crackdown

Disney+ is following in the footsteps of Netflix with its rollout of its crackdown on password sharing.Variety reports that its paid-sharing features, which allows subscribers to pay an extra fee for friends and family outside their households to use their account,  are now available in locations such as the US, Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Europe and Asia-Pacific. “Your Disney+ subscription is meant to be used within your Household, which is a collection of devices associated with your primary personal residence that are used by the individuals who reside there,” Disney wrote in a message to customers. After three years, Hellbound is finally coming back with a second installment. First premiered on Netflix back in the fall of 2021, the  South Korean dark fantasy horror series quickly dethroned Squid Game’s No.1 spot just 24 hours after its release.Kim Sung-cheol, Kim Hyun-joo and Kim Shin-rock are confirmed to reprise their roles in the new season.
