Warner Bros. Will Produce At Least 10 Films Exclusively for HBO Max in 2022

Warner Bros. has now agreed to produce at least 10 films exclusively for HBO Max in the coming year. According to Variety, WarnerMedia’s CEO Jason Kilar announced during its Q2 earnings call that the massive media conglomerate will continue supporting its synergy with HBO Max by making at least 10 more films in 2022 that will release exclusively on the streaming platform. The decision was no doubt inspired by some of the movies the company has launched on HBO Max this year simultaneously to their theatrical releases, such as Wonder Woman 1984. However, pointing to the $460 million USD brought in at the box office by Godzilla vs. Kong, Kilar also highlights the importance of physical theatrical releases, which he says will now get a 45-day head start at theaters as opposed to the 75 to...

After taking us on a wild ride into The Sunken Place in Get Out and sending chills down our spines when introducing The Tethered in Us, Jordan Peele is ready to broaden his directorial wings with a new motion picture titled Nope. So far we know little information about the forthcoming film, other than the fact that Daniel Kaluuya — who played a lead role in the aforementioned Get Out movie — Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun will be the lead actors, the latter of which was said to be in the contract negotiation stage for the movie this past April. The artwork for the impending film is rather odd as it displays a gloomy evening and a dark cloud hovering over what appears to be an illuminated city or local festival. Original ‘Space Jam’ Director Criticizes Sequel: ‘LeBron Ain’t Michael’

The director of the original Space Jam, Joe Pytka, shared harsh criticism on the film’s new sequel, Space Jam: A New Legacy, in an interview with TMZ on Wednesday. “The truth is that LeBron [James] ain’t Michael [Jordan],” Pytka told the outlet, adding that James’ does not possess the same level of star power that Jordan did in the ’90s. Pytka also claimed that the sequel lacks an adequate connection to James’ personal life — a story arc that is fictionalized in the script — while his original version ties the plot closely to Jordan’s decision to retire from basketball to concentrate on a career in professional baseball. He added that it took him five different viewing sessions to complete the 2-hour movie. He also had qualms regarding the updated animation of Bugs Bunn...
