Syfy and USA Unveil Creepy New Trailer of ‘The Legacy of Chucky’ TV Series

Syfy and USA have shared a brand new trailer for its forthcoming horror series, The Legacy of Chucky, during its panel at Comic-Con@Home. Netflix’s ‘Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami’ Docu Gives Insight to Florida’s Drug War

Netflix has dropped its official trailer for its new six-part documentary series, Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami. The show is set to follow up the 2006 film, Cocaine Cowboys and will similarily focus on the rise of coke in Florida and its drug war. Netflix stated that the docuseries will be mainly about “the South Florida traffickers indicated in one of the largest drug cases in U.S. history.” The Kings of Miami dives deeper into the stories of Cuban exiles Salvador “Sal” Magluta and Augusto “Willy” Falcon. Both Sal and Willy were supposedly America’s greatest distributors for Colombia’s biggest drug cartels. Lee Isaac Chung Departs Hollywood’s Live-Action Adaptation of ‘Your Name.’

Lee Isaac Chung has reportedly exited the live-action adaptation of Makoto Shinkai‘s revered anime film, Your Name. The Minari filmmaker was announced as Your Name.’s director in September 2020, joining producers and distributors Paramount Pictures, Toho and J.J. Abrams‘ Bad Robot. The studio is now supposedly “acting fast” to replace Chung, who was already named the second director after Marc Webb’s departure in 2019. Previous reports have stated that Your Name. will have a “Western viewpoint” and will replace the original plot of a boy and girl living in Tokyo and Gifu to a boy from Chicago and a Native American girl in a rural town. ‘In the Heights’ Actress Leslie Grace to Don Cowl For HBO Max’s ‘Batgirl’

Riding her success from In the Heights, Afro-Latina actress Leslie Grace has now been cast as the titular superhero in DC, Warner Bros. and HBO Max’s upcoming Batgirl. According to Deadline, the new film will feature Grace as Barbara Gordon, daughter of Commissioner Gordon, who’ll be donning the cowl for this iteration. Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming anime The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. The trailer sees a young Vesemir, voiced by Theo James, tracking down a witch as the air amongst him changes and his surroundings begin to turn against him and his fellow monster hunters. The anime series explores the origin story of Vesemir, a rogueish monster hunter who has escaped his life of poverty with the help of Deglan. According to reports, Outlier Society hired a writer to pen the script of what sources state could be a limited series. Though fans were unable to attend the opening ceremony for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Japan still managed to put on quite the show — complete with the parade of nations, which enlisted an orchestrated video game soundtrack, a performance with human Olympic pictograms and an awe-inspiring drone show. Near the end of the opening event, a fleet of 1,824 drones rose above the stadium and illuminated the night, forming the official symbol of the Tokyo Games.
