Disney+ recently took to social media to share that it is set to make a Home Alone reboot for the upcoming Christmas season. The all-new original film features a number of new faces including Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Chris Parnell, Rob Delaney, Tim Simons, Pete Holmes and SNL veteran, Kenan Thompson. According to Variety, the movie will be titled, Home Sweet Home Alone, following Max mercer, “a mischievous and resourceful young boy who has been left behind while his family is in Japan for the holidays.” Thompson is not the only SNL cast member to be involved with the film. Netflix has debuted the first trailer for its latest football docuseries Titletown High, following the trials and tribulations of the Valdosta Wildcats High School Football Team. The Wildcats Football team is located in a “Georgia town where football rules and winning is paramount,” and the cast of characters features controversial and respected head coach, Rush Propst, and his roster of aspiring athletes and staff. The camera follows the team on and off the field, diving deep into the lives of the cast of characters. As the highest-grossing film of the tetralogy, Evangelion’s final film is dubbed in ten languages – French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Castilian Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi, Korean, Latin American Spanish, Italian, English and of course, Japanese on Amazon Prime. Nestflix, the brainchild of web designer Lynn Fischer, is a platform for “nested,” or fictional, movies and shows that were featured in real-life media. So if you’ve ever watched a movie that featured a clip from a made-up series, Fischer has found it and uploaded it to her site, described as “just a wiki doing some cosplay” on Twitter. In a new cover story for Variety, the artist revealed that he turned down a role on the critically-acclaimed HBO series Euphoria to focus on his music career. “I was actually going to do Euphoria, but I didn’t want to take time away from finishing my album,” Nas X told the publication. “I definitely want to get into acting, but I feel I have to give it my all, and I want to focus on music for right now. Jeopardy! has officially announced that it is bringing on Mayim Bialik and Mike Richards to split hosting duties of the celebrated quiz the show. Bialik, an actress, author and neuroscientist, guest hosted the show in May and June, while Richards is a seasoned game show host, executive producer of the show and four-time Daytime Emmy Award winner. It has just been reported by Image Comics that King Spawn #1, the first new monthly Spawn book since 1992, is on its way to sell over 500,000 copies in pre-orders. Set for an August 25 release, this is another massive milestone for independent comic book creators as it nearly reaches the success that Keanu Reeves had with BRZRKR at 616,841 copies — both outside of the Big Two’s (Marvel Comics and DC Comics) influence. Marvel Studios is already planning a series of animated titles to follow What If…?, which premiered on Disney+ on August 11. Speaking to Variety, executive producer Brad Winderbaum confirmed that the studio has “multiple” animated series “in various phases of development” to hit Disney+, along with season two of What If…? and “photo-real” animated shorts focusing on Baby Groot. While it is no surprise that manga is becoming ever so popular, increasing 44 percent in 2020 alone, the findings are showing that there’s a new wave of manga readers looking for the classics, as titles like Attack on Titan Vol.1, Hunter x Hunter Vol. 1, Death Note Vol.1, Naruto Vol.1, and Junji Ito’s horror manga series Tomie are all spiking in sales.
