Two New South Park Films Are Coming to Paramount+ This Year

Earlier this summer South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker announced that they signed a new deal with ViacomCBS and MTV Entertainment Studios to bring the franchise to Paramount+. The deal included 14 films to the streamer in addition to six more seasons of the television series. In a recent Paramount+ panel, ViacomCBS’ Tanya Giles confirmed that the first two installments of the South Park film will debut before the end of 2021, with two films coming out every year until 2027. Similar to the recent “South ParQ Vaccination Special” and “The Pandemic Special,” audiences can expect plot layouts akin to these episodes. Peacock and Will Smith have officially announced the lead actor of its upcoming The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot — West Philadelphia native and songwriter, singer, rapper and basketball player Jabari Banks. Patrol Lieutenant Eric Fields of Alabama’s Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has taken the Internet by storm and has now been called as The Rock’s doppelgänger since he has a similar look and build as the professional wrestler. James Gunn has shared a first look poster for his upcoming HBO Max series, Peacemaker. The Suicide Squad director’s latest post shows the back of the character’s car, which features a sticker for DC FanDome 2021 — where the series will be part of the panel lineup — and a Washington state vanity plate that reads out “PSS MKR.” Peacemaker, portrayed by John Cena, can be spotted in the drivers seat, his left arm hanging out of the window and making the peace sign. After 30 years, Disney has finally decided to revive The Rocketeer, bringing onboard David Oyelowo for the project. According to a new report from Deadline, Oyelowo will be producing the new film — titled Return of the Rocketeer — along with his wife and producing partner Jessica Oyelowo, and may also star as the movie’s titular superhero.
