Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Is Believed To Be Playing Young Morpheus in ‘The Matrix Resurrections’

Shortly after the release of the first trailer for The Matrix Resurrections, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II now has fans thinking that he is playing Morpheus, originally portrayed by Laurence Fishburne, in the fourth installment in The Matrix. Taking to Instagram, the Candyman star seemingly made a bold proclamation, posting a photo of himself with the simple caption “MORPHEUS.” Although nothing has been confirmed, it is believed that Yahya will be playing a remnant of Morpheus’s younger residual self-image left in the Matrix. ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ Season 2 Receives Premiere Date

After more than a year’s wait, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans are finally getting its second season. Announcing the new release date over on its website, Demon Slayer‘s second season will be premiering this October, running every Sunday night from 11:15 p.m. JST on Fuji TV in Japan. The season will come in two parts, with the second one following in early 2022 during the winter season and run through until roughly March. Luckily for those abroad, Funimation will also be streaming the show globally under its simulcast. A24 has dropped off the official trailer for its upcoming film C’mon C’mon, starring Joaquin Phoenix and helmed by writer-director Mike Mills. The monochromatic drama film sees Phoenix, in his first film since Joker, as documentary filmmaker Johnny. As he works on a project involving interviews with children across the United States, he forges an unexpected bond with his eight-year-old nephew Jesse, portrayed by Woody Norman, while they travel cross-country. Longstanding James Bond producer Barbara Brocolli recently spoke about a scene in Skyfall that has indicated the secret agent once had a gay experience. Katie Dippold will pen the script, Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, who also produced the live-action adaptation of Aladdin, will be producing via Rideback and Nick Reynolds will serve as executive producer. International airings of Power Rangers Dino Fury — the States have to wait until later this month — has just revealed a first in Power Rangers television series history. Without spoiling too much of the story for episode 13 “The Matchmaker,” fans that got an early look at the episode revealed that Izzy, the Green Ranger, came out as the first LGBTQ+ Ranger.
