Sam Raimi‘s directorial decision for Spider-Man 3 left a lot of fans disappointed, and many do not remember the conclusion of Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy fondly. This particular scene and Venom’s hasty introduction in the film saw fans give the film negative criticism. After receiving so much backlash in 2007, Raimi has finally opened up about the mental challenges he has faced when he decided to return to Marvel to direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He told Collider: “I didn’t know that I could face it again because it was so awful, having been the director of Spider-Man 3. The Internet was getting revved up and people disliked that movie and they sure let me know about it...
“Saturday Night Live” poked fun at the billionaire space race in a new sketch that aired this weekend, with Owen Wilson playing Jeff Bezos aboard his Blue Origin spacecraft. The sketch, titled “Billionaire Star Trek,” follows Bezos and his crew that flew in the company’s real-life inaugural space launch in July. The sketch is jokingly said to be part of the “Star Trek” franchise with a new series titled “Stark Trek: Ego Quest.” “Space is freaking awesome,” Wilson says, wearing the Amazon founder’s signature cowboy hat. A voiceover then gives more detail on the billionaire’s “crew of random weirdos,” which include Bezos’ brother, a “rich kid from the Netherlands” and “82-year-old astronaut Wally Funk.” Fellow billionaire Richard Branson, played by “SNL” cast member Alex Moffat, then floats ...
“Squid Game” director Hwang Dong-hyuk said that it took him almost a decade to pitch and create the K-drama series due to its “bizarre” concept. The survival series, which aired on Netflix on September 17, follows a group of 456 people heavily in debt who play life or death games in the hopes of winning a massive cash prize. In an interview with The Korea Times published last week, the filmmaker shared the struggles of creating series, which he said field like a “roller coaster ride.” He told the outlet that he actually came up with the concept in 2008 and wrote the script a year later, though it took over a decade for the show to finally air because of its “bizarre” plot. “Making the story into the series was still an adventure, just as it was about a decade ago. I knew that it...
After the much-anticipated release of Seinfeld on Netflix, fans of the shows seem to be majorly disappointed with the way the streaming giant has aired the show. Various viewers have taken to Twitter to comment on the fact that Netflix neglected to keep the original 4:3 aspect ratio and used 16:9 instead. Rolling Stone pointed out that the 16:9 ratio offers a more “modern look,” since the standard widescreen would make it more suitable for view on high-definition TVs. Unfortunately for Seinfeld fans that means that the switch from the full-screen mode or square screen quite literally means that some of the most iconic jokes from the show are cut off. Audiences were quick to point out that the famous scene from season eight’s “The Pothole” episode had lost its punchline as the pothole in qu...
