A Russian actress and film producer arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) on Tuesday, where they have plans to film the first movie in orbit. Actress Yulia Peresild, 37, and producer Klim Shipenko, 38, joined cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, 49, on a Soyuz MS-19 spaceship, which took off from Russia’s Baikonur Cosmodrome in ex-Soviet Kazakhstan. After rounding the Earth twice, the capsule approached the ISS, where Shkaplerov took over the vehicle’s controls to manually dock the spaceship. Peresild and Shipenko will reside on the station for 12 days, during which they will film scenes for an upcoming movie titled The Challenge. Florida-based arts organization Artsemble Underground has a launched a Change.org petition to “rebrand” Lee County to Bruce Lee County. According to reports, the organizers want to “rebrand” rather than fully rename the county — which is named after Confederate General Robert E. Lee — in order to minimize costs while still making an effort to “eradicate” racism in the U.S. The petition adds that Bruce Lee “is considered by commentators, critics, media, and other martial artists to be the most influential martial artist of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century, who bridged the gap between East and West. According to reports, South Korean Internet service provider SK Broadband has filed a lawsuit against Netflix. SK Broadband’s decision to take legal action follows increased network traffic and subsequent maintenance work with the international success of Squid Game and another South Korean drama named D.P. The increasing popularity of Netflix’s content has caused its data traffic handled by SK to jump 24 times from May 2018 to 1.2 trillion bits of data processed per second as of September. Starting in 2018, Netflix began using SK Broadband’s dedicated line for large amounts of data-heavy, high-definition video to deliver content to viewers in Korea from servers in Japan and Hong Kong.
