Epic Games Is Considering Making a ‘Fortnite’ Movie

Following in the footsteps of Riot and its animated projects with Netflix surrounding League of Legends, Epic Games is now also looking to create shows based on its own video games, announcing the creation of a new entertainment division within the studio. According to a new report from The Information, the developer has officially opened a new branch within its company focusing specifically on creating scripted video programming in an effort to further expand into the media industry and find new sources of revenue after its efforts in mobile gaming has been thwarted by Apple in a recent lawsuit. Marking National Coming Out Day (October 11), DC Comics has announced that Jon Kent, the son of the original Superman Clark Kent, is bisexual. The upcoming fifth issue of the comic book Superman: Son of Kal-El sees Jon enter into a relationship with reporter Jay Nakamura. In a recent interview with IGN, writer Tom Taylor says, “Over the years in this industry, it probably won’t surprise you to hear I’ve had queer characters and storylines rejected. Netflix Season 3 Trailer for ‘Narcos: Mexico’ Teases New Threats

Netflix has officially released the trailer for the third and final season of Narcos: Mexico. After the arrest of Diego Luna’s character, Felix, next season’s stage is set to showcase other cartels emerging throughout the plotline. The new trailer focuses on the conflict that now sees Tijuana claimed by the Guadalajara cartel. The end to season two makes way for the emergence of cartel bosses from Sinaloa, Tijuana, and Juárez, looking to step up to replace the previous departing narco, Felix Gallardo. Marvel Studios has revealed a new clip for Eternals, its latest upcoming film set to debut in less than a month. The 30-second clip features narration from Salma Hayek‘s Ajak beginning with a recap of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame reminding fans of how Thanos erased half of the universe’s population before the Avengers brought everyone back. Toho To Host World Premiere of Newly-Remastered ‘Godzilla’

In celebration of the film’s 67th birthday, Toho International will be rolling out an exclusive premiere of the long-awaited 4k restoration of Godzilla. Beginning on November 3, the same day the monster made his 1954 debut in Toho’s Gojira, the remastered version will be shown at Alamo Drafthouse cinema locations across the country. The restored film hasn’t been released in the U.S. or Japan yet, so the screenings will offer fans new and old a fresh look at the influential classic. According to reports, Netflix has now ordered a spinoff of Fox‘s hit series That ’70s Show. Titled That ’90s Show, 10 episodes of the series are now being developed by the streaming platform with original creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner writing and executive-producing alongside their daughter Lindsey Turner. Following rumors last month tying Irish actor Cillian Murphy to Christopher Nolan‘s next film about the father of the atomic bomb J. Robert Oppenheimer, his casting has now been officially confirmed. According to Deadline, Murphy will portray Oppenheimer himself, the renowned theoretical physicist who played a central role in the creation of the atomic bomb during World War II.
