A ‘Walking Dead’ Anthology Series Is on the Way

AMC has greenlit a six-episode anthology series titled Tales of the Walking Dead, slated to debut on AMC and AMC Plus in summer 2022. Each episode will run one hour long and take place inside the world of The Walking Dead, with both new and pre-existing characters. Channing Powell, who played a major role in writing and producing The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, will assume the role of showrunner, working alongside The Walking Dead‘s chief content officer Scott M. Watch Sola Entertainment’s New ‘Rick and Morty’ Anime Short

Continuing to deliver anime takes on Rick and Morty, Adult Swim recently tasked celebrated studio Sola Entertainment for a new Japanese short. Titled “The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara,” the 11-minute clip features animation production by Sola Digital Arts Inc. and CGI by Yamato Works, Inc. While Masaru Matsumoto of Sola Entertainment directed the project with a script by Naohiro Fukushima and music composition by Tetsuya Takahashi. With voice actors Youhei Tadano and Keisuke Chiba reprising their roles as Rick and Morty, Adult Swim describes the short, “Rick’s toaster is broken. Disney+ Is Making a Movie About Walt Disney’s Journey to Creating the “Happiest Place on Earth”

Disney+ is now reportedly working on a film documenting Walt Disney‘s journey to creating Disneyland, “the happiest place on Earth.” According to Deadline, the project will be helmed by David Gordon Green, who has just come out of directing the highly anticipated Halloween sequel Halloween Kills. Joining him will be Disney veteran Evan Spiliotopoulos, whose previous works include The Jungle Book 2, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, Beauty and the Beast‘s live-action remake, Snow White and the Huntsmen, and Hercules. The upcoming fifth issue of the comic book Superman: Son of Kal-El sees Jon enter into a relationship with reporter Jay Nakamura. Toho To Host World Premiere of Newly-Remastered ‘Godzilla’

In celebration of the film’s 67th birthday, Toho International will be rolling out an exclusive premiere of the long-awaited 4k restoration of Godzilla. Beginning on November 3, the same day the monster made his 1954 debut in Toho’s Gojira, the remastered version will be shown at Alamo Drafthouse cinema locations across the country. The restored film hasn’t been released in the U.S. or Japan yet, so the screenings will offer fans new and old a fresh look at the influential classic.
