‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Shutting Down Production While Letitia Wright Recovers From On-Set Injury

Variety has confirmed that Marvel has temporarily shut down its production for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever while actor Letitia Wright recovers from an on-set stunt injury from August. Wright suffered from the injury over two months ago while shooting a sequence that involved a stunt rig. The injury was not initially supposed to impact the filming schedule as Ryan Coogler and the rest of the team filmed in Atlanta while Wright recovered in London. In a statement, Wright’s reps have indicated, ““Letitia has been recovering in London since September from injuries sustained on the set of Black Panther 2 and is looking forward to returning to work early 2022.” The film is originally set to release on November 11, 2022 after its delay from July 8, 2022. Netflix has unveiled the full schedule for Stranger Things Day, which will celebrate the hotly-anticipated fourth season of the original series on Saturday, November 6. November 6 was aptly selected as Stranger Things Day to coincide with the date that Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) went missing in 1983 in the first season of the show. Taika Waititi is set to adapt Alejandro Jodorowsky’s graphic novel The Incal. The original 1970s novel is the first in the series, is a collaborative piece between Jodorowsky and cult filmmaker Moebius. The Incal was what launched the Jodoverse and includes titles such as The Metabarons and Megalex in the comics. Hollywood Is Now Developing a ‘Gantz’ Live-Action Adaptation

According to reports, Hollywood is now developing a live-action adaptation of Shueisha‘s Weekly Shōnen Jump serialized series Gantz. Director Julius Avery of Overlord is now tied to direct the film despite no official of the project just yet. When asked about the news, original manga creator Hiroya Oku revealed that he is not part of the adaptation and was learning about it for the first time on Twitter. It is interesting to note that Oku revealed that he signed a contract for the rights to Gantz and that Arrow co-creator Marc Guggenheim was working on a script last year.
