Kevin Feige Provides Updates on New ‘Blade’ Film, Reveals It Will Likely Be R-Rated

In a recent interview with BlackTree TV, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige finally gave an update on the new Blade film. Mahershala Ali has been attached to the project since 2019, but the film has yet to begin production. The film recently saw its second director exit and movement on the project has been slow.Despite the case, Feige has now said that it is likely the new Blade film will be rated R, similar to the new Deadpool movie. When asked if Deadpool's approach has allowed the studio to pivot Feige responded, "I think that's right. Netflix Announces 8 Million Additional Subscribers in Q2 2024

Netflix's Q2 2024 earnings revealed that the streamer added a total of 8 million additional subscribers during the quarter.According to THR, the streaming service now has a total of 277 million subscribers globally to even further its lead from competitors. FX Head Provides Update on ‘Shōgun’ Season 2

FX Chairman John Langdraf offered a small update on the second season of Shōgun after it became the most-nominated show at the 76th Emmy Awards.Speaking to Variety, the exec revealed that creators Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo "are happily at work" with the rest of the writers. "We’re hoping to be in production relatively early next year. But it’s a long production period," Langdraf admitted. The new entry goes back to the core horror of the franchise, featuring a group of young space colonizers exploring a broken-down space station before they encounter members of the terrifying alien species, the Xenomorphs. ‘Halo’ TV Series Has Been Canceled at Paramount+

Paramount+ has officially canceled the Halo TV series after just two seasons. The producers of the show adaptation for the video game franchise is expected to look for a new home now that it will no longer be a Paramount project. FX head John Landgraf has addressed the possibility of The Bear returning for a fifth season following its record-breaking 23 Emmy nominations.In an interview with Variety, the chairman explained that Season 5 will be dependent on creator and showrunner Chris Storer. The 2024 Emmy Award nominees have been revealed. The nominations include series already popular with the Television Academy while some newcomers enter the race. The Bear, which swept the Emmys last year, reached a major milestone as the series surpassed 30 Rock to become the most-nominated comedy series in a single year with 23 nominations.
