Despite reports of closure in 2023, JAY is looking to revive the legendary nightlife spot in New York City and is planning on reopening the spot in 2025 in a different location. Since opening 20 years ago, the club has had a chokehold on the city's nightlife, becoming a cultural landmark in Manhattan. This October, New Yorkers will be able to experience what it’s like to compete in Squid Game’s notorious life-or-death challenges.Squid Game: The Experience is coming to the city, complete with Young-hee, the giant robotic doll that oversees Red Light, Green Light. The event is being produced by Netflix and will include both games inspired by Squid Game and brand-new challenges.Players will compete in groups of 24 in a series of games, escalating in difficulty as they progress through each round. An animated Ghostbusters series is officially in the works over at Netflix.The news arrives two years after its initial announcement, with Variety reporting that the 3D title "will be tonally in line" with the latest string of Ghostbuster films.
