The Trailer for Bong Joon Ho’s Sci-Fi Comedy ‘Mickey 17’ Has Arrived

Bong Joon Ho’s latest feature film — sci-fi comedy Mickey 17 — is coming soon, and its first trailer has just been released. The highly-anticipated film is Bong’s first directorial effort since 2019’s Parasite, which secured a best-picture win at the 2020 Oscars, and stars Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun and Mark Ruffalo.Mickey 17 is adapted from Mickey 7, a 2022 novel written by Edward Ashton. Set in outer space, the plot will follow interplanetary colonist Mickey Barnes, played by Pattinson, as he takes on a new occupation as an “expendable.” Mickey becomes tasked with the fictional society’s most life-threatening missions, but the kick is that he is repeatedly cloned anytime he dies on the job. ‘Quiet on Set’ Producers Announce Docuseries on Sean “Diddy” Combs

The true crime network behind the Quiet on Set, the documentary exposing the toxic behind-the-scenes environments on child TV shows, has a new project in the works. Investigation Discovery (ID) has announced a docuseries on the “rise and fall” of Sean “Diddy” Combs.“As accounts of sexual assault, abusive behaviors, and other disturbing claims surface, the doc traces the story of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, unraveling allegations of a pattern of depravity,” says ID, which will be working with the same producer from Quiet on Set, Maxine Productions.The news arrives just a day after Combs was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. Mark Cuban is ready to sign his name on the dotted line when the time comes to acquire conservative network Fox News and social media platform X. In a recent interview with WIRED, Cuban shared that he unfortunately does not have enough cash at hand at the moment to buy Fox News, otherwise he would do it "in a heartbeat." Amazon MGM Is Adapting ‘The Sims’ Into a Movie

The suburban life simulation game The Sims is being made into a movie. Launched in 2000, the Electronic Arts franchise has accrued a cult following for its relaxed sandbox-style gameplay as players control virtual people in an open world known as SimCity.Amazon MGM is helming the project, while Kate Herron, director of Loki on Disney+, is directing the film. A24’s Horror Films Are Returning To Theaters For Halloween

A24 is bringing back some of its best horror films to theaters for Halloween.The "Eerie Series" will kick off on October 1 with Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Killing of a Sacred Deer, starring Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman and Barry Keoghan. The week after will play David Lowery’s A Ghost Story with Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara, followed by Edward Shults’ It Comes at Night with Joel Edgerton on the week of October 15 then the Nicolas Cage-starring Dream Scenario on October 22.
