“What is Grin Machine?” is a question you’ll find on several rappers’ subreddits. The creative outfit has been incorrectly labeled as an album name and even some “if you know, you know” entity, but the truth is, Dan Streit and Cole Kush are very much real people — they just happen to be the creative brains behind some of the most innovative music videos in modern hip-hop. Streit and Kush are the founders of Grin Machine, a creative production studio — not an obscure album title that rappers hint at during the end of their music videos. Streit often dabbles with creative direction, design and VFX, and started off his career creating music videos for TMWRK Management artists like Diplo and Major Lazer. This led to more work with other record labels and video commissioners and he eventually g...
Following the release of his second critically-acclaimed album, We’re All Alone In This Together in 2021 and a couple of rare single drops last year, South London rap star Dave has just returned with new music — and it’s named after the Brazilian football legend, Adriano. Dave’s music output has always leaned into the idea of quality over quantity. Last year was a quiet year in terms of releases, with the only musical material coming in the form of the No. 1-selling single “Starlight,” a surprise freestyle with “My 24th Birthday,” and a welcomed collaboration with Manchester’s Meekz for “Fresh out the Bank.” 2022 seemed to be a year of side-quests for the 24-year-old. For example, the musician was the first person to be spotted in the high-profile Stone Island x New Balance football kit an...

Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s daughter Blue Ivy Carter turned 11 this weekend, and Grandma Tina Knowles-Lawson couldn’t be more proud of her. “The day that you were born was one of the best days of my life,” she wrote on Instagram on Sunday, the day after Blue Ivy’s Jan. 7 birthday. Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who are also parents to 5-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, welcomed Blue Ivy in 2012. “I was really praying and pushing your mom to have you on January 4 which is my birthday,” she recalled of her daughter Beyoncé giving birth. “I really wanted you to share my birthday, but like your auntie Solo you decided to come when you were good and damn ready and that was on January 7 three days after my birthday. Knowing you and your personality now, I realize that you needed your own day because you were such a ...
