The English post-punk band performed their song “Hot Penny Day” from their newest album, last year’s Stumpwork. Watch the performance below. Stumpwork is the follow-up to Dry Cleaning’s 2021 debut album, New Long Leg. Two people have been arrested after breaking into the home of Kleøpatra, a budding electronic music artist. At around 5:10am on December 31st, Kleøpatra was asleep at home when the suspects violently “kicked the front door in,” according to the DJ, who has released music on a number of popular electronic labels such as Excision’s Subsidia Records. Gordy Harmon, a founding member of the beloved R&B group The Whispers, died on Thursday (Jan. 5). He was 79 years old. The news of his death was initially reported by ABC7, who noted that the soul musician died peacefully in his sleep, and that his family believes he died of natural causes and had no serious illnesses.
