The Roots’ Black Thought Announces New Album With El Michels Affair

Black Thought (of the Roots) has announced a new collaborative album with El Michels Affair called Glorious Game. It’s due out April 14 via Big Crown. Check out the full tracklist and “Grateful,” the first single, below. According to a press release, Black Thought and El Michels Affair founder Leon Michels began to work on their album during the pandemic. Glorious Game follows Cheat Codes, Black Thought’s collaborative LP with Danger Mouse. Enigmatic British Producer Jai Paul to Make Live Debut at Coachella 2023

London-based producer and part owner of the The Paul Institute, Jai Paul is set to perform twice at Coachella 2023 — and they will be the musician’s first-ever live performances. Jai Paul, who has garnered a cult following since the demo release of his song “BTSTU” in 2010, will take to the stage at the California-based festival on April 16 and 23. Jai Paul’s music career appeared to end in 2013 when a collection of his demos were illegally leaked to the public via Bandcamp. However, the DJ returned in 2019 with new music after a seven-year hiatus. Finn Wolfhard has shared his latest Emile Mosseri-assisted track “Pieces of Gold,” which is credited under his latest musical project, Ziggy Katz. The Stranger Things actor’s latest single serves as the trailer for A24’s coming of age film When You Finish Saving the World, which stars Wolfhard and Julianne Moore as mother-and-son Evelyn Katz and Ziggy. The comedy drama is based on Jesse Eisenberg’s 2020 audio drama of the same name and had its premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. SZA Releases New Video for “Kill Bill”: Watch

SZA has released a new music video for “Kill Bill” from her new album SOS. Directed by Christian Breslauer, the clip draws heavily from the Quentin Tarantino films of the same name, with a katana-wielding SZA seeking revenge on a violent ex-lover. It also features a second sequence with SOS track “Seek & Destroy,” in which SZA hangs nude from the ceiling restrained with shibari, a decorative style of Japanese bondage.
