Argentine producer Bizarrap has teamed up with Shakira for the latest in his popular “Bzrp Music Sessions” series. It’s the first edition of the new year for the series, which started in 2018 and has previously featured L-Gante, Nathy Peluso, Nicky Jam, and others. Check out “Vol. 53” below. Dr. Dre is selling several of his music assets and income streams in deals with both Universal Music Group (UMG) and Shamrock Capital, Billboard and Variety report. The combined sale price is said to exceed $200 million. Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Dr. Dre, UMG, and Shamrock for comment. Assets acquired by Shamrock Capital reportedly include Dre’s artist royalties from two of his solo albums, his share of N.W.A. artist royalties, his producer royalties, and the writer’s share of his song catalog where he doesn’t own publishing—which potentially includes his writer’s share of The Chronic, which is published by Sony Music Publishing. Glorilla signed with Yo Gotti’s CMG last year after the success of her single “F.N.F. Set to release on April 14, the collaborative album will feature a total of 12 tracks and guest features from Kirby on the title track, Son Little on “Protocol” and Brainstory on “Alter Ego.” The album is born from a long relationship between The Roots co-founder and the soul luminary’s founder Leon Michels, which began in the early 2000s. Famed electronic music group M83 have announced a new album, Fantasy. Fantasy is M83’s ninth studio album and first since 2019’s DSVII. It’s been confirmed for a March 17th release via Other Suns, a record label founded by Anthony Gonzalez, the band’s frontman. M83 recently released “Oceans Niagara,” the lead single from Fantasy, an atmospheric track that swells from its first bar all the way to its cathartic coda.
