HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz Nothing quite says, “yeah, I’m guilty AF” like when a convicted criminal’s mugshot is indistinguishable from a high school yearbook photo. As you all know, Tory Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot, and now his mugshot has recently been released and is currently being dragged up and down Black Twitter for looking like a stock photo used for Devry University ads. Related Stories If Lanez ever gets out of prison, he can use his mugshot as a headshot when he auditions to play Ron Johnson in the A Different World remake. If Lil Yachty took the ‘wok’ to Poland last year, then it’s only right that the Holy boy, Paxslim, sneaks his Holy water across borders too. The Swiss-based artist has released an all-new video for his latest track “Topp,” which finds the 21 year old rapper escaping to Berlin in Ravani over playful Bloody9ine production. Directed by Noyan and Nana, Pax’s day-in-the-life style lets fans in on hip-hop’s best kept secret. When Missy Elliott said, “DJ, please pick up your phone—I’m on the request line” in 2002, little did she know Skrillex would be on the other end over 20 years later. The formidable tandem of chart-topping artists have joined forces for a new track which interpolates lyrics from “Work It,” Elliott’s timeless hip-hop anthem. And if there’s anyone to breathe new life into Missy’s classic “ra-ta-ta” onomatopoeia, it’s Skrillex. Watch him work it onstage in London, where he recently dropped the banging electronic and hip-hop hybrid live: Elliott has also been teasing the song on Twitter, leading man...

FX’s forthcoming Tupac Shakur docuseries, Dear Mama, will include never-before-seen archival footage and unvaulted audio, according to director Allen Hughes. The series, which takes its name from Tupac’s 1995 hit single, will explore the relationship between the influential rapper and his mother, Afeni. “Wherever possible, we tried to find archival footage that hadn’t been seen so there’s a lot that we have in the five parts,” said Hughes during FX’s TCA presentation on Thursday via Deadline. “There’s also audio that’s never been heard.
