CBS Highlights Nashville & Country Music’s Biggest Stars With New Year’s Eve Special
Nashville’s annual New Year’s Eve party will ring in 2022 with its biggest spotlight to date when the five-hour concert special New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash airs Dec. 31 via CBS Television Network, as well as Paramount+. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced 10 shortlists for the 2022 Oscars. The Documentary Feature shortlist includes Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, Questlove’s Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised), and Todd Haynes’ The Velvet Underground. The Original Score category includes two slots each for Jonny Greenwood and Hans Zimmer: The Radiohead multi-instrumentalist is recognized for The Power of the Dog and Spencer, while Zimmer got shortlist placements for Dune and No Time to Die. Grimes has shared the new music video for her song “Player of Games.” The visual is directed by Anton Tammi, with a story and creative direction by Grimes. In the new video, Grimes faces off against a character called the Dark King (played by Andreï Pishchalnikov); they fight each other with swords and play chess. Check it out below. Grimes released the “Player of Games”—which she co-produced with Illangelo—earlier this month. It’s also on the soundtrack for the latest season of the video game Rocket League. OnlyFans founder Tim Stokely has stepped down as chief executive and will be immediately succeeded by Amrapali “Ami” Gan, the company said on Tuesday. Gan was most recently the chief marketing and communications officer for OnlyFans and will now “assume the day-to-day leadership” of the London-based company from Stokely, who is leaving to “pursue new endeavors,” OnlyFans said.
