In a recent Nardwuar interview, J. Cole revealed that he told Dr. Dre to sign Kendrick Lamar. “The Human Serviette” caught up with Cole at Day N Vegas earlier this year for an in-depth chat. Surprising the Fayetteville rapper, Nardwuar asked if J. Cole was the person that told Dr. Dre about K. Dot. “Who told you that? Who gave you that piece of information?” J. Cole said. “…The answer is, yes. I did. I’m not gonna say I was the first to tell him […] I was like, ‘Yo, you gotta sign this kid from Compton.” Although Cole and Dre did talk about Kendrick during sessions on Detox, a member of Dre’s team already had an eye on the now-iconic rapper that signed to Aftermath back in 2013. Nardwuar then asked J. Cole if he wanted to sign Kendrick Lamar if he knew about him during the early stag...

Bad Bunny has enlisted the Simpsons family for his “Te Deseo Lo Mejor” music video. Directed by David Silverman, who has also directed multiple episodes of the animated series, the music video begins with Marge kicking Homer out of the family home after he misses dinner. Then, the Puerto Rican rapper sings to Homer from inside an otherwise empty bar. At last, Bad Bunny brings the quarreling couple on stage at one of his concerts to lend a hand in their reconciliation. “Te Deseo Lo Mejor,” which translates to “I Wish You the Best,” comes off of the rapper’s third solo studio album El Último Tour Del Mundo...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty While some people might’ve forgotten that Common and Tiffany Haddish were an item a minute back, Common’s recent comments about their breakup reminded everyone about their previous relationship and they seemed to have rubbed Haddish the wrong way. In a recent interview with Jason Lee on Fox Soul’s Hollywood Unlocked, the Night School actress said she was “disappointed” in Common saying that their breakup was a “mutual” decision and that the reason behind it was that he felt that they didn’t want to be in a relationship where they’d “be one foot in, one foot out.” After Lee asked her why he dates famous women, Haddish simply said “He might be the type of person that never really settles with somebody; maybe he’s like, you know, like a ...
