Emma Raducanu was officially awarded an MBE by King Charles on 29 Nov. for her services to tennis. The 20-year-old accepted the honour at an investiture ceremony in Windsor Castle, and said after the reception, “It’s been great to receive my honour today from his Majesty the King – I feel extremely grateful.” The tennis star was awarded the accolade after winning the US Open in 2021 at just 18 years old, and becoming the first British woman to win a grand slam singles title since 1977. British tennis player Emma Raducanu attended her first ever red carpet event — the 2021 Met Gala — following her historic win at the US Open Tennis Championships. The rising star wore Chanel for her fashion debut at the Met’s Costume Institute Benefit Gala under the theme “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”. Raducanu’s black-and-white co-ordinated set was from the Chanel Cruise 2021/2022 collection. It featured a black-and-white silk twill cropped top and skirt with a printed silk crepe coat.
