For his latest music production masterclass, Eliminate turned to Australia’s vast nature and wildlife for inspiration. While out on tour, the EDM.com Class of 2021 star visited the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Australia to record sounds from a number of their animals. He then got to work in his Airbnb, sampling them to create an electro and breakbeat banger. The animal sounds Eliminate sampled include the calls of kookaburras, snoring of koalas, drinking of kangaroos and warbles of various birds. The track builds with some Virtual Riot drum loop samples before unleashing a ferocious drop that stomps harder than the kangaroos it samples. Eliminate then introduces a half-time trap section to bring the arrangement home. Give Eliminate...
Eliminate‘s latest single teeters precariously on the brink of emotional ruin. “Nothing Left” sees the Class of 2021 star joining forces with XAELO for a brooding record that pairs his melodic trap sensibilities with heart-wrenching lyricism. “Losing you is like taking my last breath,” XAELO elegiacally sings amid a smooth trap flow from Eliminate. Though he’s typically one to let his robust and often frenetic sound design do the bulk of the talking, Eliminate instead opts to let the track’s soul-stirring lyrics take center stage while following up each verse with his signature synth work. Cruising into the song’s final act, Eliminate doses the vocal up with filters and vocoder-based effects, effectively harmonizing the poignan...

With an electrifying, quirky trap sound and a comedic touch to match, bass music artist Eliminate has found his stride not only as a producer, but also as a YouTuber. His hilarious stable of videos includes clips of him sampling a toilet flush to make house music, harnessing the sound of his own burps to make dubstep, and even making a song without ever listening to it. Eliminate’s latest madcap video arrives in the form of a reimagination of the Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout theme song, which he mutated into a synthwave smash. In the nearly 11-minute video, he walks his subscribers through the nuts and bolts of the remix, displaying how he crafted the chord progressions, layered each sound, and designed the lush, gooey synths synonymous with the budding genre. The bat...
Shaq has been making his way around the bass music world as of late. In the past year, he’s collaborated with NGHTMRE and Lil Jon on “BANG,” Nitti Gritti on “Takin’ Over,” and Riot Ten and T-Wayne on “Ultimate.” With his latest collaboration, he’s teamed up with Eliminate for their new single “Tear It Up,” out via Disciple Records. “Tear It Up” is a monster of a track. Opening with a goofy phone conversation between the collaborators, the tune quickly accelerates into maniacal drop filled with resonating, metallic synths and pounding kicks. The track is a perfect fusion of the aggressiveness we’ve heard in previous Shaq collabs and Eliminate’s incredibly unique sound design. ...
