Reemerging from a two-year hiatus, award-winning electronic duo The Chemical Brothers are back with a new single, “The Darkness That You Fear.” It may be a somber-sounding title but the song is anything but. Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, the individuals behind this operation, take two distinct and disco-esque vocal samples and layer them on top of a swirl of psychedelic sound to create the uplifting rush of music heard below. In a press release, Rowlands comments, “‘The Darkness That You Fear’ is a hopeful piece of music.
