How can UK-based businesses accept Bitcoin?

Accepting Bitcoin payments is advantageous due to lower fees than credit and debit cards, expansion of customer base and real-time bank balances. However, risks like volatility and cybercrime may undermine these benefits. Cryptocurrency payments help save excessive credit and debit card processing fees as they are decentralized and do not need intermediaries to verify the transaction. Moreover, merchants do not incur overseas currency exchange changes if payments are made in BTC or other cryptocurrencies. High transaction speed is another benefit of accepting Bitcoin payments, allowing businesses to receive payments in real-time. Moreover, with the increasing customer demand to pay in crypto, offering Bitcoin as a payment method will help acquire more shoppers. However, accepting cryptocur...

eBay Pulls Jeffrey Dahmer Costumes for Violating Violence Policy

Digital auction house eBay is pulling every Jeffrey Dahmer costume it finds for violating the violence and violent criminals policy, a spokesperson told TMZ. The site has seen increased interest in Dahmer-inspired glasses, shirts, wigs, and other costume elements following Netflix’s hit miniseries — and this really is the full title —  Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. But selling such items, even as a costume, is against eBay’s user agreement. The violence and violent criminals policy prohibits, among other things, “Items closely associated with or that benefit violent felons, their acts, or crime scenes within the past 100 years.” Costumes of the infamous serial killer fall into the “closely associated” category; the sales can’t benefit Dahmer, who was beaten to ...

eBay Announces New Partnership With FedEx For Shipping & Authentication

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Smith Collection/Gado / Getty Last week eBay and StockX announced that they’d be adding new fees to the sneakers sold on their websites and now eBay is making a new announcement as they’ve revealed that they will be partnering with FedEx for both shipping and authenticating purposes. No, FedEx workers aren’t going to be authenticating sneakers, they’ll still just be delivering them (hopefully). But according to Nice Kicks, the new partnership will ensure a free ride for sneakers sold on eBay to authenticators as opposed to paying for that kind of service. Related Stories “Beginning in October, upon sale, eBay will provide you with a FedEx label at no cost, to ship your Authenticity Guarantee-eligible sneakers to our authentication center.” “The change wil...

eBay & StockX To Raise Fees On Sneaker Resellers

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: eBay / eBay In just one day both eBay and StockX shocked sneaker resellers when both announced that they’d be raising fees on sneakers sold through their services. According to Nice Kicks, eBay has decided they’d be raising the fees to 12.9% on sneakers sold between the prices of $100-$150 for sellers without their Basic Store subscription and 12% for those who actually have their subscription. You’d think with the way sneakers are sitting and the resale game isn’t what it was just last year, eBay would lower fees to entice more resellers to put up product for sale. Related Stories In the same Tweet, eBay states that it will be providing shipping labels for sellers and buyers will be charged a flat rate of $14.95. The company will provide loss and da...

Images Of eBay x Nike SB Dunk Low “Sandy Bodecker” Have Leaked & Umm…

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: @zsneakerheadz / Instagram The Nike SB Dunk has been the hottest sneaker out in these streets for the past few years. While we continue to get bombarded by new and sometimes unnecessary colorways, the latest eBay SB Dunk might be the most struggle of them all, respectfully. HypeBeast is reporting that pics of the upcoming SB Dunk have leaked and well… how ’bout them Yankees?! Aaron Judge, am I right?! Rumored to be stocking at a measly 8,000 pairs, the eBay x Nike SB Dunk Low “Sandy Bodecker” features the recognizable eBay colors of blue, yellow, green and red in patent leather over a white leather base which “resembles one of the three models in the series, which was given to the late and influential Sandy Bodecker in 2008 when he retired.” But that’s no...

eBay Opens Exclusive Sneaker Store In LA That Encourage You To Wear Kicks Out The Store

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: eBay / eBay eBay got some big plans for sneakerheads this Memorial Day weekend as they plan on opening up shop in LA and actually reward sneakerheads who wear whatever kicks they cop at their spot. According to NiceKicks, eBay will be opening up a Wear ‘Em Out sneaker spot on Fairfax Avenue from May 27th-29th and will have an assortment of sneakers that will be up to 70% off their market value. To top things off, Wear ‘Em Out will give customers a bigger discount if they actually wear their newly purchased sneakers out the store. Not bad if you ask us. Related Stories We don’t expect to see any Off-White Jordans or Travis Scott kicks for dirt cheap, but hey you never know as Offset did have a hand in picking and choosing what kicks would be available for ...

$1 million rock NFT sells for a penny in all ore nothing error

It’s a hard rock life for one crypto user. A clumsy keystroke and the actions of a sniper bot caused a million-dollar mistake on March 10. A rock valued at 444 Ether (ETH), or $1.2 million, sold for 444 Wei ($0.0012) to a bot as the seller, DinoDealer, confused WEI and ETH. In a tweet, the seller said “in one click my entire net worth of ~$1 million dollars, gone.” How’s your week? Mine? I just erroneously listed @etherrock #44 for 444 wei instead of 444 eth‍♂️ Bot sniped it in the same block and trying to flip for 234 eth In one click my entire net worth of ~$1 million dollars, gone Is there any hope? Am I GMI? Can snipers show mercy? pic.twitter.com/yq9Itb2Ukb — Rock dust (@dino_dealer) March 10, 2022 The “bot sniped” refers to bot sniper...

Here’s a clever options strategy for cautiously optimistic Bitcoin traders

Bitcoin (BTC) entered an upward channel in early January and despite the sideways trading near $40,000, order book analysts cited “significant buying pressure” and noted that the overall negative sentiment might be heading towards exhaustion. Bitcoin/USD price at FTX. Source: TradingView Independent analyst Johal Miles noted that BTC’s price formed a bullish hammer candlestick on its daily chart on Jan. 24 and Feb. 24, hinting that the longer-term downtrend is close to an end. However, the rally above $41,000 on Feb. 28 was unable to create strong demand from Asia-based traders, as depicted by the lack of a China-based peer-to-peer Tether (USDT) premium versus the the official U.S. dollar currency. Currently, there is positive news coming from the...
