Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy Kilmister Duet on New Version of “Hellraiser”: Stream
Ozzy Osbourne has shared a new version of “Hellraiser” featuring a duet with late Motörhead legend Lemmy Kilmister. The track will be included on the upcoming expanded 30th anniversary reissue of Ozzy’s No More Tears album, due out this Friday (September 17th). “Hellraiser” was one of four songs co-written by Ozzy and Lemmy for No More Tears (as well as “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” “Desire,” and “I Don’t Want to Change the World”). Motörhead then recorded their own version of “Hellraiser” and released it as a single from their 1992 album, March ör Die. The new version combines Lemmy’s 1992 vocal track with Ozzy’s vocals on the original No More Tears track, bringing the two iconic voices together on one recording. A Nigerian music star, Alayande Lola Oladapo Quam, better known as Lala, is dead. Lala became popular following his released hit single, “Idi Nla,” which featured the late rapper, Dagrin, in a duet by the duo. According to a Facebook post by his brother, Alayande Tunde Adisa, Lala died on Tuesday. Adisa, however, didn’t disclose the cause of his death. Lala was a graduate of Project Management at Lagos State University. He also obtained his Master’s degree from the same institution. Titled simply Tea for the Tillerman², it consists of re-recordings of all 11 of the original songs. Some of the updates are more straightforward, while others, such as today’s rendition of “Father and Son”, have been completely reimagined for 2020. The narrative of this reworking of “Father and Son” remains the same, recounting the strain and discord that often exist in families as a result of a stark generational gap. What makes this version stand apart, however, is that it features Yusuf’s original 1970 vocals alongside voice arrangements recorded in 2020 — in effect allowing for the songwriting legend to “duet” with himself as both father and son.
