Rolling Stone has published its list of greatest dance songs of all-time. Dance music has evolved immensely over the years and is now paramount to today’s contemporary music ecosystem. In order to land on their high-profile list, the songs “had to be part of ‘dance music culture,'” according to Rolling Stone. “It’s a more specific world, but an enormous one too, going back nearly fifty years and eternally evolving right up to today and into the future,” the outlet writes. Skrillex Confirmed As Producer On Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” Album

Beyoncé has revealed the collaborators and tracklist for her seventh studio album, which is said to be heavily influenced by electronic music.  So it should come as no surprise that Skrillex has been confirmed to appear on Renaissance. Skrillex will appear on the album’s fifth track, “Energy,” alongside frequent collaborator BEAM and The Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, among others. Go Behind the Scenes of Kygo and Donna Summer’s New “Hot Stuff” Music Video

On Friday, September 18th, Kygo released the latest in his line of tribute remixes. This time, the Norwegian producer took on Donna Summer‘s 1979 classic, “Hot Stuff.” Alongside the reimagination, he also released a music video featuring the stars of Netflix‘s Outer Banks, Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes.  Filmed in North Carolina over the summer, the production company behind the video, Lighthouse Films, captured the spirit of decades past to help set the background for the single. Before, during, and after the release of the music video, they shared behind-the-scenes footage of the filmmaking process. Kygo has announced that he will be releasing a remix of the late Donna Summer‘s legendary 1979 song, “Hot Stuff.” He shared a video teasing the new rework across his social media pages, offering fans a taste of what’s to come. In addition to the remix, Kygo has a new music video on the way featuring two of the stars from the Netflix series Outer Banks, Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes. In the short clip, you can see what appears to be a nostalgic love story set in the era that Summer helped to soundtrack.
