During one of his daily quarantine livestream parties, Diplo casually dropped a mammoth collaboration. Seemingly out of the blue, the musical renaissance man debuted a new Major Lazer track featuring Nicki Minaj and Mr Eazi. A fan uploaded a clip of the unreleased tune to Twitter to help out those who might have missed it. While the clip is quite short, you can clearly hear Nicki Minaj’s hallmark vocals over a classic Major Lazer beat. Unfortunately, in the short clip, we’re not able to get a taste of Mr Eazi’s contribution to the track, but the provided song ID at the top of the stream confirms his involvement. The aforementioned song is not the only pop crossover Major Lazer has up their sleeves, as back in March, Diplo debuted a remix of The Weeknd‘s &...
If you’re looking for a Thursday pick-me-up with some serious attitude, Wuki and Diplo have you covered with their latest single “Chicken Wang,” featuring Snappy Jit. Out today via HARD Recs, the track is just as ridiculous as it sounds and stays true to Wuki and Diplo’s fun, energy-based rhythms. Think of it as the EDM ode to food, with messaging and a creative commitment to originality comparable to Kanye West‘s “Closed on Sunday.” The song is the first release off Wuki’s upcoming album, which the recent HARD Recs signee will release through his new label. It dives deep into his booty-bass and electro roots with pounding drum samples, upbeat vocal cuts and a drop full of rave whistles and reverb. In typical Wuki and Diplo fashio...

A fan trying to keep up with Diplo‘s antics is like a dog trying to keep up with a stallion in The Kentucky Derby. No matter how fast and how often you scroll, it seems as if every time you look up, there’s a new farfetched story about him. Whether he’s campaigning to portray Joe Exotic, trolling Terry Crews as a DJ at a virtual prom, or being propositioned for “no-strings sex” by Sia, you can always count on dance music’s most infamous Renaissance man to keep you entertained. Speaking of stallions, here’s a video of Diplo plunging into a filthy river on a dare from chart-topping “Savage” rapper Megan Thee Stallion. You have to respect the hustle of Diplo, who declares, “You gotta do a verse for me now,” at the end...
Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Wuki today announced a forthcoming collaboration with Diplo and Snappy Jit called “Chicken Wang,” which will drop on May 14th, 2020 via HARD Recs. He also recently announced his landmark signing to HARD Recs and a forthcoming LP due out later this year, which will be the Insomniac-owned imprint’s second full-length album following JOYRYDE‘s BRAVE. In a press release issued for the announcement, Wuki gushed about the album. “I’ve been working hard to get a cohesive body of work together, and I can’t think of a better platform than HARD Recs to help me show it to the world.” To celebrate the announcement, Wuki is hosting a special contest for local Los Angeles fans, who can enter to win a fr...
Fresh off a festive Cinco de Mayo livestream event in collaboration with Corona, Diplo and Dillon Francis were just announced as the headlining DJs of a virtual prom hosted by Jack in the Box called “Prom in the Box.” Joining the stream as its MC and host is YouTube star Jesse Wellens. With Diplo and Dillon Francis at the helm, “Prom in the Box” will also feature dance challenges and digital decor, like Zoom backdrops and filters, all lending to a one-of-a-kind virtual prom and a night that these seniors, whose actual proms were quashed by the impact of COVID-19, will never forget. “Prom in the Box” will kick off on Zoo...
Diplo had fans laughing with approval back on April Fool’s Day with his campaign to play Joe Exotic in the scripted rendition of the Tiger King series. There’s no denying the similarities between the two in their hair color, passion for music, and notoriety, so when news broke that the role would instead be going to none other than Nicolas Cage, Diplo made sure to reignite the fandom with his disapproval. According to a report by Variety, the eight-episode series will be produced by Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios and will be based on the Texas Monthly article “Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey Into the World of a Man Gone Wild,” by Leif Reigstad. It comes after the Netflix series Tiger King took the nation by storm, raising the curtain on the wi...
