After the latest setback in Britney Spears‘ explosive conservatorship battle, the #FreeBritney movement has mutated into a full-blown crusade. With legions of supporters that seem to be growing by the second, the movement is unafraid of locking horns with a justice system they deem to be wicked. Their fervent support of Spears has remained resolute as she remains ensnared in a 13-year legal arrangement that has given her father, Jamie Spears, complete control of her life. In a 20-minute statement provided by Spears in late June to a probate judge in Los Angeles, the pop icon harangued the conservatorship, saying she wants to sue her family after being “abused” by a therapist, among other shocking allegations. Despite her pleas for help, the court ultimately denied her req...
Ahead of this holiday weekend, we welcome you back with open arms as we get ready to light up the night with pretty patriotic explosions. Aside from including a stellar group of artists who are on the brink, this week’s roundup captures the lively spirit of the summer heat. With colorful sound textures, soulful sonic grooves, and experiential instrumentation/production, these artists master the art of what it is to be freeform and true to their versatile identity. Genreless has become the new genre and this collection of musical wizards are here to consciously (or unconsciously) dominate the realm. This week’s highlights include Minneapolis based rhythmic songwriter, Miloe who brings out his signature sound in “Solo,” dreamy producer/multi-instrumentalist Olan, who hypnotizes and gets vuln...

Last week, the Wynn Las Vegas made it clear they are amping up for a massive return to form with an unmissable residency lineup featuring several of dance music’s biggest names. As if last week’s news wasn’t enough to send fans into a frenzy, the company is throwing a little more fuel on the fire—diesel fuel to be precise. That’s right, the luxury resort, home to both XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club, has announced dance music’s resident NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, or DJ Diesel, will be joining the action all summer long. The “Bang” producer was previously a resident DJ at the resort in 2019. DJ Diesel will be a welcome addition to the superstar lineup, which already commands tremendous star power with The Chainsmokers, David Guetta...
It’s the end of an era for Diplo‘s long-running “Diplo & Friends” show on BBC Radio 1. The iconic national radio station has announced that it will no longer broadcast the show after a decade on the air. “Diplo & Friends” had aired from 11PM to 1AM on Saturday nights. For years “Diplo & Friends” has represented a career launchpad for emerging electronic music artists. Guest mixes on the show were considered to be coveted and the artists who secured them often went on to become lynchpins in the industry. Many DJs and producers took to social media to bid adieu to the show, such as Willy Joy, who called it a “rite of passage.” “My @diplo & friends mix on BBC was one of the very first things I got to do tha...
Over the past couple of months, millions have tuned in to watch less-than-traditional boxing matches hosted by Triller. While we’ve seen quite a few notable and surprising figures enter the ring, things are about to get even stranger as Diplo has been revealed as the platform’s newest fighter. In a report by Rolling Stone, Ryan Kavanaugh, Triller’s majority owner, stated that after performing at this weekend’s Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren fight, Diplo will pubically challenge his potential opponent on stage. When speaking with RS, Peter Kahn, the Chief Boxing Officer at Triller, shared some details on the type of opponent he would be fighting and revealed that Diplo has been training for years. He wants to fight. He has a worldwide fan base. It’s massive. It spans 10...
Red Rocks Amphitheatre is officially back in full swing. And while the venue may look a bit different in 2021 with a reduced capacity, its return has been welcomed with open arms by the electronic music community after a year devoid of shows. Red Rocks recently received approval from the state of Colorado to reopen for its 80th anniversary summer season. Following the announcement that the amphitheatre will host concerts this summer at...

Since confirming the 2021 release of “Titans” back in October, fans have been eagerly waiting for the mega-collaboration to drop. While Diplo and Sia have worked together and remained close collaborators and friends over the years, the two teamed up with multiplatinum singer-songwriter and producer Labrinth to form the supergroup LSD, dropping powerhouse singles throughout 2018 before their self-titled 2019 debut EP. After a year full of teasing, “Titans” has arrived on the deluxe edition of the group’s latest album, Music Is The Weapon. Released in 2020, the album features an array of fresh collaborations with Alessia Cara, French Montana, Nicki Minaj, Skip Marley...
