Dillon Francis Confirmed As Special Guest On Marc Rebillet’s “We’ve Got Company” Show

Dillon Francis will be going inside the mind of Marc Rebillet for the debut episode of the latter’s new Amazon Music show, We’ve Got Company.  Francis has been confirmed as the second special guest in the series, following Flying Lotus’ appearance in the first episode. Broadcasting bi-weekly, We’ve Got Company is described as “a talk show inside of a sitcom.” Rebillet and his guests will create music on the fly, interact with viewers, play video games and more, all inside the world of a zany TV sitcom hosted by Loop Daddy himself.  While the episode with Francis is technically the second episode in the series, it will be the broadcast debut of We’ve Got Company since the pilot with Lotus never made the air due to technical difficulties. Dillon Francis Confirms 2022 Release of “This Mixtape Is Fire Too” EP, Collab With ILLENIUM

A dream collaboration between Dillon Francis and ILLENIUM is officially on the way in 2022. Back in March 2021, Francis took to Twitter to tease the collab by sharing a screenshot of a text message conversation between himself and ILLENIUM, refraining from divulging any details. Now, after a fan revived the tweet over 10 months later, the famed “Not Butter” producer has confirmed the track will release this year. Francis also revealed a new project on the way called This Mixtape Is Fire Too, the hotly anticipated follow-up to his 2015 EP This Mixtape Is Fire. Fans have been clamoring for This Mixtape Is Fire Too after the meteoric success of its predecessor, a seven-track EP featuring fan-favorite hits like “Bruk Bruk (I Need Your Lovin)” and “Bun Up the Dance...

Dillon Francis to Write, Star In Adult Animated Comedy Series On FailArmy

Dillon Francis is taking his channel-surfing sensibilities to the big screen as the star of a new social media-based streaming series.  The show, titled Couch Kings, will see the hit-making DJ working alongside his childhood best friend, Eric Hamilton. The series, consisting of four initial episodes, goes live on FailArmy’s social media channels this week. Each animated episodes represents a day in the life of Francis and Hamilton as they navigate a series of wacky, absurd, and sometimes gut-busting scenarios all originating from the comfort of their home sofa. Fittingly, FailArmy’s vast library of bloopers, missteps, and pranks will serve as the through-line for the entire series. The genesis of Couch Kings actually arrived a couple years ago with the test-run of a s...

Dillon Francis and T-Pain Have Another Collab In the Works

It looks like lightning is going to strike twice with D-Pain. Dillon Francis has announced he’s working with T-Pain again after the two released “Catchy Song” back in 2019. This time around, it seems like the two have teamed up for a more traditional electronic collaboration as opposed to the bubblegum “Catchy Song,” which was featured in the children’s movie The Lego Movie 2 back in 2019. And from Francis’ reaction last week, the track is shaping up to be a big one: Back in September T-Pain shared that he was actively seeking collaborators in EDM, house, and techno, tweeting that he “can lead us to musical greatness.” Just 24 hours prior he appeared onstage with Francis in Las Vegas and performed a number ...

Listen to Dillon Francis’ Bubbly Third Album, “Happy Machine”

Have a day, Dillon Francis. In celebration of his 34th birthday, the beloved dance music producer and jokester has dropped his third album, Happy Machine. In terms of its sound, the record is a far cry from Francis’ rowdy 2014 debut, Money Sucks, Friends Rule. But that doesn’t make it any less impressive. Spanning eight tracks, Happy Machine is a song-cycle of bubbly house music. It’s a warm hug after a lonely pandemic, and a clear attempt by Francis to subvert his fan-favorite sound in favor of one that showcases his growth. And isn’t that what we should all be doing after a period of isolation? IDGAFOS/Mad Decent Recommended Articles The highly collaborative album features joint tracks with Shift K3Y and Marc E. Bassy, Bow Anderson, Liza Owen, and 2...

It seems T-Pain believes his path to musical greatness lies squarely within EDM’s crosshairs. Taking to Twitter, the famed hip-hop and R&B artist earnestly petitioned the dance music talent pool to show him their best stuff, especially projects within the house and techno creative vein.  While the “I’m Sprung” singer initially confessed this may all just be spur of the moment inspiration induced by the lights and sounds of Las Vegas, he later doubled down on his request for producers to start sharing videos of their current projects with the hashtag #broedmfortpainwouodbetightasf. With the right producer by his side, T-Pain suggests the sky is the limit. “I know I can lead us to musical greatness,” he tweeted. Recommended Articles Elec...

Dillon Francis Announces Third Studio Album

In typical tongue-in-cheek fashion, the always hilarious Dillon Francis has taken to social media to announce that he’s officially completed his next album. While we don’t know much yet, we do have a hint of what it will be named. “Hint: its two words first word starts with an ‘H’ and second word starts with an ‘M,'” he wrote, prompting GRiZ to guess that the tile is “Holy molè.” A bevy of his high-profile DJ friends also hopped into the comment section to share their guesses and Rich the Kid even asked if he was featured. It’s safe to say the hype surrounding the album is high. Francis also announced the album’s third single in an Instagram Story, a collab with Bow Anderson called “Reaching Out” that will hit st...

The Chainsmokers, ILLENIUM, More Set to Headline Escapade 2021

Earlier this year, the organizers of Ottawa’s renowned Escapade music festival decided that the event’s rescheduled dates in mid-June 2021 were too soon to host a safe event, thus determining a fall postponement would be the best course of action.  Initially, the newly slated dates were September 3rd to 5th, offering a three-day experience. However, due to “ongoing changes and COVID restrictions,” Escapade ultimately scrapped its Friday launch and pushed it one day, truncating the fest to just September 4th and 5th. Despite the change, there is still much to celebrate for fans of Escapade thanks to its massive lineup. While the full bill is yet to be released, so far it includes The Chainsmokers, ILLENIUM, Jauz, and Claude Vonstroke, among others. You...

Watch Dillon Francis and Eptic Debut Wild Unreleased Collab at HARD Summer 2021

The EDM community is healing, and after over a year in quarantine it seems artists have more unreleased music to play out than ever. That brings us to last weekend, when more DJs appeared at HARD Summer than a free flight to Ibiza. Among them were Dillon Francis and Eptic, who seized the opportunity to perform at one of SoCal’s first major festivals back—and a triumphant one at that—to reveal a brand new collab. The two electronic music superstars teamed up back in August 2019 for a moombahton banger called “Let It Go,” but this time around they’ve opted to go the trap route. Fans were able to hear a clear fusion of both artists, as the track roars with the screeching synths of Eptic and the classic trap brass of Francis. And if their reaction is any indic...
