We suspect Dillon Francis won’t be returning to IHOP anytime soon. After coming in last place in his fantasy football league, the superstar DJ and dance music producer headed to the breakfast chain to serve a punishment that pushed his appetite to its limits. Francis was sentenced to spend 24 hours in IHOP for a punishment whose timeframe could only be reduced by eating pancakes. For every flapjack he consumed, Francis could effectively scale down his punishment by one hour. The supersized pancakes withered Francis’ initial sense of confidence, but he was dogged in his fight to shave time off the clock. Documenting his efforts in a TikTok video, he is seen passing the painful hours in-between helpings by napping perusing miscellaneous YouTube tutorials. Scroll to Cont...

There’s nothing that blurs the line between frightening and fascinating quite like artificial intelligence. And since artificial intelligence and electronic music are becoming more symbiotic by the day, the staff here at EDM.com wanted to see just how far it could go in a visual sense. So we came up with bizarre descriptions of artists and fed them through A.I. art generators. Some images are photorealistic. Others are fancifully distorted. And the majority of them are flat-out creepy. But we digress. Read on to see our weird and wonderful creations. With a wildcard like Dillon Francis, you never know what you’re going to get. But you can rest assured that it’ll be compelling. This holds true for his “Goodies,” his new house anthem, which turns back the clock to 2004. Francis threw it back to the aughts and sampled Ciara‘s hit single of the same name, interpolating her ageless vocals into a short but sweet track. Dialing in a speedier tempo than the original, Francis transformed the whistling strains and synths we all know and love into a lively house melody. “Goodies” will appear on This Mixtape is Fire TOO, Francis’ highly anticipated follow-up to 2015’s This Mixtape is Fire. It’s the second single to be released following “Don’t Let Me Let Go,” a soaring futu...

A trifecta of dance music dynamos have joined forces for a new single, which has been over two years in the making. Dillon Francis has tapped ILLENIUM and EVAN GIIA for “Don’t Let Me Let Go,” the first taste of his hotly anticipated This Mixtape Is Fire TOO record. The track features a stentorian vocal performance from GIIA, whose pensive lyricism candidly explores the struggles associated with keeping the flame of a deteriorating relationship alight. Soaring future bass production courtesy of Francis and ILLENIUM soundtrack her soliloquies about coping mechanisms—like lonely wine nights—in a captivating cry for help. “Don’t Let Me Let Go” arrives by way of Astralwerks, who was named Best Record Label in EDM.com‘s “Best of 2021: Industry...

After more than a year of teasing, Dillon Francis has finally debuted his unreleased collaboration with ILLENIUM. Just a few days ago, Dillon Francis used his social media channels to “preview” his long-awaited collaboration with the melodic bass superstar. In true Dillon Francis fashion, he played exactly one second of the track and continued an effort to relentlessly torture his impatient fans. Despite teasing that the song will be premiered at EDC Las Vegas, Francis decided to treat fans to an early look at the new track before he took the stage for day three of the Las Vegas festival. Captured by a fan at his show over the weekend, you can clearly hear an enormous melodic bass sound that has left fans shaking. Reminiscent of some of ILLENIUM’s older releases, the colo...
