A Hundred Drums‘ first release of 2022 comes in with explosive energy on Deadbeats with a new single and music video called “If I Have To” (with Saule). In the summer of 2021, A Hundred Drums released her powerful Enough Is Enough EP on Deadbeats. The record outlined the struggles of being Black in America and condemning systemic racism, among other timely motifs. Subtronics Taps Zeds Dead and Flowdan for Supercharged Collaboration, “Gassed Up”

Zeds Dead and Subtronics recruited a very special guest for their third collaboration. For “Gassed Up,” the second single off of Subtronics’ upcoming album Fractals, the trio of bass music producers joined forces with grime heavyweight Flowdan. Combining his lyrical abilities with the trio’s gargantuan bass, each vocal interlude sets up a supercharged bass drop laced with motorized, choppy wobbles. Check out the new single below. Hooks of Zeds Dead Is Hosting an Art Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles

Apparently Zeds Dead‘s art doesn’t just stop at next-level electronic music. Hooks, one-half of the beloved duo and an avid painter, will showcase his work at an upcoming art gallery dubbed “Paintdemic.” Scheduled for this weekend in Downtown LA’s Arts District, the event will feature—you guessed it—a series of artworks that Hooks created while in quarantine during the global lockdown period. Nostalgix Links With Deadbeats for Edgy New Bass House EP, “Black Mirror”

Following the April release of “Realest,” rising Vancouver-based house producer Nostalgix is already back for more with her new EP, Black Mirror. Released June 6th via Zeds Dead’s venerated Deadbeats banner, the record features two new tracks. Black Mirror pulls its underground edge from booming combinations of rave sirens, rapid percussion lines and pulsing basslines. The Los Angeles bass community will finally get to experience the beautiful chaos that is a Deadbeats show.  In early April Zeds Dead announced they would be taking their beloved label on a new coast-to-coast run across the United States, aptly titled “Deadbeats: The Revival” tour. After over a year of no live events, the duo is ready to bring the gang out in full-production fashion with 13 shows slated to begin in September. Following the launch of their new record imprint, Altered States, and the release of their Catching Z’s mixtape, bass music heavyweights Zeds Dead have even more exciting news to announce. As the world begins its return to live music events and mass gatherings, Zeds Dead have revealed a new coast-to-coast United States Deadbeats label tour slated for the fall.
