DC League of Super-Pets Trailer Shows Pups Helping Heroes During Ruff Times: Watch
Call it Mission Impawsibble: Superman’s dog Krypto teams up with a ragtag band of shelter pets to save the Justice League in the new trailer for DC League of Super-Pets. The preview opens with Krypto (Dwayne Johnson) attempting to wake his out-of-this-world owner Clark Kent (John Krasinski) for a super walk. We find out that while Krypto is loyal, kind, and capable of flight, he has trouble relating to more Earthly dogs, leaving him somewhat lonely. Brendan Fraser Cast as Villain Firefly in Batgirl Movie
The DC Extended Universe is at the forefront of the Fraserssance. Already with a starring role on Doom Patrol, Brendan Fraser has now joined the cast of Batgirl as the villainous Firefly (via Deadline). Fraser will face off against Leslie Grace as the title heroine in the upcoming HBO Max feature. Firefly, aka Garfield Lynns, is one of the most enduring members of the Bat-Family’s Rogues Gallery. Michael B. Jordan Officially Producing Live-Action Static Shock Movie
One of the biggest reveals to come out of the DC FanDome event is news that Michael B. Jordan is officially onboard to produce a live-action Static Shock movie. The hero known as Static first connected with fans as a hero created by DC Comics imprint Milestone Media. A cartoon series followed in 2000, making the electrifying hero a household name amongst comic fans. The clip reveals a new-look Flash, with a completely redesigned costume that’s a far cry from the armored version seen in Justice League, including a familiar looking ring fans should be excited about. All together now: “Shazam!” DC unveiled a first look at the upcoming sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods during Saturday’s virtual FanDome event. Though very little finished film was show during the preview, we do get a new sense of the movie’s scale. For one, there are two villains this time around: Helen Mirren’s Hespera and Lucy Liu’s Kalypso. Fans got their first look at the upcoming Black Adam movie at DC FanDome on Saturday. The teaser finally showed Dwayne Johnson in costume, suited up as the titular DC supervillain ahead of Black Adam’s planned 2022 release. With The Suicide Squad receiving strong reviews, some have taken renewed aim at the original from filmmaker David Ayer. In a new post heralded simply by the phrase “My turn,” the director has fired back at critics while disavowing the theatrical release of 2016’s Suicide Squad.
