As Vin Diesel navigates 2020 away from the Fast and Furious set, he video chatted Kelly Clarkson on her show Thursday (Sept. 24) from a recording studio to premiere his debut single “Feel Like I Do” in collaboration with Kygo. “Feel Like I Do” is the first solo single by the action movie star and according to Diesel, the first song on Kygo’s record label Palm Tree Records. And the tropical house track is perfect to listen to with palm trees swaying in the breeze, but that wasn’t quite the setting for its worldwide debut. Kaskade Loses Bid to Thwart Financial Subpoena in KAOS Nightclub Lawsuit
A U.S. magistrate judge has rebuked an effort by Kaskade to withhold information on concerts the DJ played in the wake of the closure of the KAOS nightclub is Las Vegas and ordered the performer to pay the hotel’s attorneys’ fees for the cost of enforcing a subpoena. Ryan Raddon, who performs as Kaskade, is suing F.P. Holdings, a limited partnership connected to the Palms Casino Resort, for breach of contract over his residency deal at the KAOS nightclub, which closed in November after six months of operation. KAOS was supposed to anchor a $690 million renovation of the Palms and host a residency by global superstar Marshmello, but the club lost nearly $50 million, according to a Nov. 6, 2019, quarterly earnings call, and shut down permanently. The French producer and the Australian singer first struck sonic gold nearly a decade ago, with their monumental and era-defining smash “Titanium,” which fused Guetta’s electronic production with Sia’s indestructible pop vocals. Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (Sept. 11) on Billboard, choosing the inspiring ode to mental health as their favorite new music release from the past week. “OK Not to Be OK” brought in 52 percent of the vote this week, beating out new music by Usher (“Bad Habits”), Major Lazer and Mr. Eazi (“Oh My Gawd”), David Guetta and Sia (“Let’s Love”), and others.
