Avicii, Eric Prydz, Robyn, Swedish House Mafia, Alesso… the list goes on. The mythos of today’s rave scene runs through Swedish dance music. This week, Tomorrowland‘s One World Radio will examine the impact of Swedish electronic music through the lens of its influential artists. The programming slate includes an hourlong episode celebrating the impact of Swedish House Mafia, an anecdotal broadcast hosted by Laidback Luke, and a can’t-miss “Friendship Mix” curated by Alesso. Veteran electro house duo Dada Life have shared a preview of their upcoming single “Electronic Circus Weapon,” which is set to drop on Friday, September 24th. “Electronic Circus Weapon” has an incredibly nostalgic sound, brimming with Dutch house and electro energy. A larger-than-life low-end rumbles around like a bulldozer while the synth melody demands attention with its deep and reverberant atmosphere. The duo teased new music that has been eight years in the making a few months ago. The track has went through numerous iterations over the years and will now see the light of day in 2021. “We made the first version of this track 2013,” Dada Life wrote. “We didn’t release it because we felt it didn’t deliver our vision. Each year sin...
It looks like veteran dance music duo Dada Life may finally drop the curtain on a track that was conceived back in 2013, when they released a number of their biggest electronic hits. Dada Life rose to become one of the dance music scene’s most popular headlining acts following the release of 2012’s breakthrough The Rules of Dada LP. The album spawned a number of global electro hits for the Swedish tandem, such as “Kick Out the Epic Motherfucker,” “So Young So High,” and “Rolling Stones T-Shirt,” among others. They then went on to drop one of the most popular songs of their career in 2013, the rowdy “Born To Rage.” It was during that time they produced a track tentatively titled “Rov Rave kött,”...
Dada Life has announced they’ve inked an agreement with Revealed Recordings to launch a new label venture, Crash & Smile. The duo has additionally bursted back onto the scene, dropping their first single on the newly-minted imprint, “Rumble Slow,” which was first debuted by the Revealed Recordings head-honcho, Hardwell, on the landmark 500th episode of Hardwell On Air. Dada Life has come to be known for their larger than life persona, and “Rumble Slow” finds perfect alignment with their party-starting profile. The track’s vocals bellow with a hypnotic cadence as Dada Life ramp up their brisk, dancing piano chords into a voluminous, stadium-filling drop in a rush. The sequence illuminates the fact that these two tenured pros are masters at s...
